Sounds great, if I have off i'll try my best to come. A bar seems like a great venue (not even 18 so I can't drink, I just want a cheeseburger and a milkshake if i'm lucky...).

Barring unforeseen circumstances I should be here.

I did not know about this until today and I'm sure a lot of others don't as well, you should definitely post this in the MDVA faceblock group to get more exposure. I added this tournament to the MDVA calendar as well.

I did. I must have put it in the wrong one. I specifically made a Facebook to get the word out, so I'm pretty bad at it.

Thanks for adding it, and please continue to spread the word. More info coming soon

Also, Injustice might be removed due to patch imbalances. I don't play the game but from what I understand it's pretty bad. Not 100% sure just yet

UMVC3 and Injustice are being removed due to lack of interest for it. I will remove them from the post when I get home.

That leaves us with CoD, Melee, and PM! Since we won't have a rush to get off TVs (or tables/chairs) this event should be very laid back as far as the schedule.

New name for the event: "Bar Wars" via Chillindude. I'll be posting a lot of info in the next two days to get everything finalized.

I think Chillin is taking money matches as well.

Huge update. All games but Smash related events have been removed due to lack of interest. If this thing gets large enough, this could be a new monthly

Rise of the MD/VA! If anyone can tell JCaeser about this and get him/his crew to come out, please do

Lots of confirmed attendees so far... looks like Chillin, Redd, Vist, Cyrain, DoH, Ether, Milkman, Plank, Wenbo, G-Reg, Doug, and myself will be there. Basically all of MD/VA's best players. Would be cool if some OoS came to challenge us on our home turf.

Jesse - I suggest putting some of these names in the thread title to build hype and attract attention.

Oh, I forgot to ask earlier, but since this is might be my first tournament I gotta know some thing. Is there a registration deadline? Do I have to be there in the morning to pay for my entry and stuff or can I just walk in and register anytime before ProjectM or Melee starts?

My previous post has all the names....
I know. I was saying that on Facebook there's not a way to tell who they are in correlation with their in-game name. So unless I have met them (and remember them), I can't really tell who's who.

Either way, updating! Thanks for the list!

You can register for the event until I have to stop and do the brackets. I'll be doing a final call about 10-15 minutes before the start of each event for people to enter.

So no, you can register anytime before the event. 12 is just when I was going to start taking them (also friendlies will be available all day, and you're free to play them as you please as long as it's not interrupting the flow of the tournament).

So Since I'm going, I'll probably bring Mewtwo and Roy for demo/showing off purposes. Can I get a TV for a dedicated setup?
That sounds good. I have two TV's I'm bringing, with only one Wii. You can use the extra one.

Also, did you guys ever fix Mewtwo's tripping wavedash? From what I remember, it clashed with the float mechanic. Could be a missed input or something, but it happened a lot for me.
