Hello everyone! I wanted to help out what Bandana Dee might act like if he were (will be
) a fighter!
I got my sources from
http://kirby.wikia.com/ and specifically
http://kirby.wikia.com/wiki/Bandana_Waddle_Dee for Bandana Dee.
--------------------
Based on the descriptions, quotes, details, trivia, and anything I could get, here's what I found that could resemble Dee's stats!:
This is the description for Bandana Dee's appearance in "
Kirby Super Star" (SNES) :
" He is first seen in the
sub-game Megaton Punch in
Kirby Super Star, as the first and easiest of the three opponents, implying he isn't very good at the sport. "
" [...] implying he isn't very good at the sport"
While this is a specific sport (Megaton Punch) and from over 15 years ago (SNES, 1996-1997), it's a no brainer that Waddle Dees in general shouldn't be
that powerful due to their almost stubs for hands.
(Yes, Kirby also has stubs for hands, but is said to be almost ten-fold the amount power wise than Waddle Dees) Bandana Dee's spear on the other hand...
--------------------
This is Bandana Dee's description with "
Kirby's Return To Dreamland" on the Wiki:
" While back to being simply called "Waddle Dee", he wields a versatile spear, which he can throw, jab with, or perform a charge attack where he twirls it above his head like a helicopter blade, which makes him fly as well. "
[...] he wields a versatile spear, which he can throw, jab with, or perform a charge attack where he twirls it above his head like a helicopter blade, which makes him fly as well. "
This indicates that Bandana Dee will once again be proven as agile/fast. The quote also seems to imply that he will be able to preform combos at a pretty decent pace.
Lastly, his recovery is not too clear based on the quote. If I had to choose, his recovery should be somewhat similar to R.O.B's or Duck Hunt's, where you either have a certain amount of spear spins, or the spear just spins automatically, (but you cannot stop it, yet you can control the direction). I also think that the control of the recovery would be able to go more horizontally (Side to Side) than vertically (Up and Down).
--------------------
And lastly, here's Bandana Dee's description for "Kirby And The Rainbow Curse". This doesn't really apply besides indicating that Bandana Dee may have nice, strong throw options... But are they hinting at something here???
" This is
Kirby's faithful companion during
this adventure. He likes to poke enemies with his trusty spear, and he can even pick up and throw Kirby! To be honest, he's just happy getting his fair share of the spotlight... "
"[...] he's just happy getting his fair share of the spotlight..."
--------------------
Conclusion For Bandana Dee:
-Fast/Agile
-Able to preform quick, yet strong combos
-Great Throw Options
-Nevertheless above average to top tier recovery (horizontal most likely being the strongest option).
END ---------- END
I was going to include neat details about Kracko, but this would have been an even more monster of a post than I intended it was going to be! Maybe another time...
