*** Quick question... Does anyone else want a really different and awesome-styled Nintendo E3 "direct" again like last year? (Like the sketches of stop-motion to the pretty entertaining fight between Reggie & Iwata?
Counter-argument - The biggest problem is, is that E3 brings consumers from everywhere. Nintendo Directs are seen by most to almost all Nintendo fans. Nintendo returning to the big stage would both benefit and hurt them... So overall it's a 50/50 chance of what they'll do. (But it's Nintendo, a direct will probably happen again and hopefully as to even more polished than last year).
Sorry for this little bit of a rant, but being a Nintendo fan, it is twice as entertaining to see something fun and unexpected as a Direct with many Nintendo-like jokes/references like last year instead of a pretty much normal stage presentation with hype here and there... But they're a company and their goal is to make money in the end, but they are starting to do more what the fans want so they'll most likely do a direct again.
Overall, I really considered wanting Nintendo returning to the big stage... But after thinking for awhile, them having a pre-recorded E3 makes it so they can present every single aspect that they want to present without the worry of time or messing up. Don't get me wrong, the mess-ups Nintendo had in the past were funny, but it takes up time and they could of spent that time in a direct doing a short skit of Mario, Star Fox, Link, or the Regginator. The whole direct last year was really entertaining personally and if they keep that same amount of creativity, I think they could rule E3 once again.
Anyways, here's my personal hopes for E3!
*** 1: Kirby Wii U / 3DS Announcement w/ Bandana Dee trailer
** 2: Mario & Luigi RPG 5 (3DS)
* 3: Paper Mario 5 (Wii U)
But those are my personal dreams that seem pretty unlikely... Here's what we'll probably get:
-Mario Kart 8 DLC (Confirmed)
-Super Smash Bros. DLC (Semi-confirmed)
-Mario Maker, Yoshi's Woolly World, Xenoblade X, Fire Emblem 14/crossover,& Splatoon DLC content
-New Star Fox U trailer
-Zelda Wii U info (I think Nintendo has something up their sleeve...)
-Indie Games
-And some kind of new fitness game. (Starring the Careless Wiimote Guy & Non-Specific Action Figure, of course)
And here's a bit of a stretch of what we might get aka the hype machine:
-New Animal Crossing (Wii U)
-New Kirby Game
-New Metroid (2D & 3D)
-New Non-Major Mario Game (Confirmed next major Mario game for NX)
-New Paper Mario (Wii U)
-SNES Remix
(Note: It is confirmed by Iwata in an interview that there will be no NX information at E3 for this year, sadly... But we can hope)!
