to Ka-Master

Dude I loved Luigi's wavedash...but after 6 years of doing that same motion endlessly...

I'm glad to be able to play a new Luigi competitively without the WD. He's new, and I'm all for it...just like I love the idea of the floatier physics. Sounds good to me cause I'm tired of the melee ways. I want a new game and this is it. You elitists are funny though, so nervous.

p.s. I watched your vids.. You're definitely better than I, but not by much. Nice weej :bee:
You are implying that you just learned there was a smash community at all a few days ago, and that your Luigi is almost better then ka master's? LMAO:laugh:

I don’t care. Although he may not be knew to this site, he’s still new to the kindergarten skill of manners. (Dude, you joined last month, so by my standards, you too are a n00b, lmao)

Note how I didn’t say ‘can't AT,’ but ‘don't AT.’ Don’t twist my words. (By ATs, I meant the old, Melee ones, BTW)

EDIT:..Urm, wait, now that I think of how many ATs there are... I meant specifically wavedashing. Heheh, sorry, I was wrong.

If he doesn’t speak English, he shouldn’t be on this site. Learn to aim before you pee in my toilet, as they would say.

You’re all n00bs compared to me. MotsalogeL, it took me nearly 3 years to make 2000 posts, and you make more than half that in about a month? Something’s not right here.
I've read all of the posts. Actually Zook. YOU were the one who started the whole posts thing. Why do you have to be so cold. Chill bro.

'zook crap?' That's a new one. Reeeeeal funny.

When did I ever say I didn't want people in other countries on this site? I DID say that I wish people learned how to use proper grammar and capitalization on the internet. Even though you may not speak english, I'm sure your own language has grammar, plus it makes everyone sound alot smarter... *hinthint*
DUDE. Don't call him an idiot. He does not speak english well because he is not from america. Yes, other countries do have grammar but IT IS DIFFERENT!!! IN SPANISH NOUNS COME BEFORE ADJECTIVES!!! SAME WITH JAPANESE!! DIFFERENT!!! GET A LIFE!! Imagine how hard it must be to adjut from one way of speaking to another. Why don't you go to Europe and TRY to speak French. Watch them laugh at you and see how you feel.

Micheloxx: It is a little hard to understand what you are saying. Have a friend check your spelling and grammar before you post. It would help if you took classes though.

On topic: I'm glad wavedashing is out. I pretty much had to use it in order to win. (My main is Link though.) Now that it is out, I can concentrate on new techs. I guess I was not very good with him since I HAD to wave dash. Gotta love the bulky down b and taunts.

Stamping your library books.
You do know every language uses commas and capitilizes their letters, right?

And I never said I didn't start the fight, I wanted to at the time. I enjoy making ******* posts and watching people take me seriously. *scrolls through the pages*

Sorry, I'm still suffering from the-Pool-Room-now-sucks-hard syndrome. :(

I didn't say any of that. I always knew of the smash community and I've been reading for quite some time. I finally decided to get an account here once Brawl got released in Japan. I never really cared about who was the best at different characters so I don't know many players' names. I didn't know that was a prerequisite for being as cool as you.

You have never seen me play so you cannot know my skill level. I happen to be a very good luigi player. I never said I was almost better than Ka Master. I said he was a little better than me, and I complimented him.

Something wrong with any of that?

ok, ill start here, luigi is like a thousand times easyer to use, thats bad because smash is suppostly a technique game.. The b down in smash was harder to use, and it rised not that much like inbrawl, that werent a problem if it werent so easy to do, now nobody gotta practice to do it, and that, sucks, people cant do things very good compared to other, because, everybody will do it very good, u know what i mean..

ok now now, talking about spacing, the last smash version''melee'', was about technicly space, make your opponent respect your space, but invade ur opponent space, all this was could be done, with Lcancelling, WD, WL, dash dancing, and other gliches, now, this game is reduced to, run, jump, dashdancing..

Andother thing is, FS... Its ok using FS for fun, but competitivly?, dam t sucks, imagine Forward beating the king with one stock, Forward 0% and the king 120%, and then the king gets a smash final, and beats forward, by hitting a ball floating? seriusly is better without FS in tourneys..

Other thing to count is taht, the game is SLOWER, ther are not fast fallers, but well, what can we do..

All what i can do and the people that think the same way i do is paly the game to see if its good, but, for me, it got not compettitive game level...
That's alota complainin' there friend. It's a new game, adapt and just be satisfied with what we got. I'm not sure about anyone else but I know I'm satisfied with the results.

Micheloxx, I'm sure once you play the game, you'll have as much fun as ever. A lot of people who have the game are saying good things as well, so don't worry.

And I never said I didn't start the fight, I wanted to at the time. I enjoy making ******* posts and watching people take me seriously. *scrolls through the pages*
You shouldn't even be posting, if that is the case. Most people call that 'being a big fat jerk'

Wait...you can't wait to not have to wavedash? Lol, yeah because it's such a painful thing to do. It's pretty clear that you were never able to use Luigi in Melee to much of his potential, because anyone who actually took the time to learn how to wavedash consistently and naturally with him would realize that wavedashing wasn't some major crutch one was forced to use as him, but rather a genius solution to his otherwise unplayable ground game, that also allowed a much deeper understanding of his physics.

Sorry if I come off as brash, it's just if people talk about Luigi's wavedash as though it were some dirty, polluted technique/glitch that one would only ever even consider using due to competitive play, I get kind of irritated, because I see it as more of the epitome of what Luigi's character consists of. (Mobility wise, and not pertaining to Smash bros. Melee exclusively)

LOL. good stuff, good stuff. new sig quality perhaps?

But yeah, for sure, 'cuz that's what made the pros pros. Please, if you're going to talk about things like this, at least make an attempt at finding a decent meaning of the term "pro" on these boards. Please.
After playing the game extensively since 2002, and doing all I've done, placing well in tournaments etc. all I can say is that wavedashing is only cosmetic.

Nintendo sucks for taking it out of the game.

Well, it is really only cosmetic.

You just have to know other techniques such as up cancel grabbing and pivoting to make up for wavedashing if you don't want to do it.

Smash 64 was crap though.

I wanted Melee 2.0

And if you watched the IGN grudge match thing, Street Fighter vs. Smash Brothers...you know you were sitting there cursing them out when they said "Every Smash Bros. Nintendo only adds things, and they don't take anything away. Street Fighter on the other hand...etc."

They tore Street Fighter up. Which is a shame, since SF2 (the main game they were talking about) is far more balanced than most other fighters.

Guilty Gear being one of the series that SF2 was balanced like.
And Guilty Gear players truly believe that their game is at least 85% perfectly balanced.

We'll see if the SF2 HD Remix keeps up the great balancing of SF2.

IGN called SF2 a glorified rock paper scissors contest.

And that may be true from a certain angle, and a certain point of view.
But it isn't true from this players point of view.

If you say it about SF, you can say it about smash as well.

Like, isn't top tier play just a rock paper scissors game unless they do dittos??
All fighting games have characters that counter other characters, yet IGN says that Smash...doesn't have counter characters??

Nintendo is scared to embrace good players, and advanced techniques.
They did good transitioning from Smash 64, to Melee.

Halfing Z canceling, so it still exists in the game for good players to use.

What do we get in the transition of melee to brawl????
They took L cancelling, jump cancelling, wavedashing, etc. they even took Gannon's extra double jump that he gained from using down B to recover.

I'm surprised they left misfiring in the game at this point.
I'm surprised there's still a stage like Final Destination.]

Whatever...I'll stop typing.
The game just seems worse is all I'm saying, yet it's being praised for being better.

It was not that bad. Although it will take some time to get used to the gravity changes. I did not want Smash 64 or Melee 2.0. I don't think it's either. I want Brawl 1.0.

I'd much rather have Brawl 1.0 than 64 2.0

But, it's completely 64 2.0 right now.

The intros (which kick ***, and I'm glad they brought back) the physics, the shields, the win screen...it all resembles Smash 64 rather than Melee.

So all that's left for me to say is, I hope Smash 4 is Melee 2.0:
The return of Wavedashing. (and other advanced techniques)

What I can't understand is why they would take out the original air dodging technique, and with that they kill wavedashing, which was a great aspect to the competitive feild of melee. That's what made Luigi's game so unique and incredible. Hopefully with time someone will find some advanced techniques in brawl.

I was disappointed in the physics changes from 64 to Melee.

I learned that it was just a different and great game.

Wavedashing was great, and now something else will be when it's discovered.

It wasn't like it was broken either, since it was basically just cosmetic.
Even though I liked wavedashing, aside from that I generally disliked the air dodge system, mainly cause you couldn't jump/act after an air dodge.
