Yes though OP hasn't posted in a while. He should be posting any-day now. No matter, if he has forgotten we'll let someone else make the bracket.

If by Friday he hasn't responded we will have little choice. Unless you prefer the tourny didn't happen at all.

If they aren't active then you can ask a mod to let you takeover the tournament so to answer your question, yes you can relinquish the OP duty.Can you just relinquish the OP's duty to make their own bracket?

How is that dumb...what if the host leaves smashboards and doesn't come back after his tournament reaches 16 players wouldn't you want the tourney to be able to continue?

I don't think you can use such an adjective to describe that fact, considering you've never hosted a tourney yourself. Not saying that the experience of that responsibility is necessary to make reasonable points and opinions, but yeah. It's not dumb at all if you don't want to risk the possibility of waiting eons for the TO to return, or having the tourney go stagnant, even.Wow, how dumb.

Hey everyone, got some rather bad news. I will be gone tomorrow until 11:00 Central in a place without internet access. Due to this, there is a possibility that I might get a substitute for myself to make sure everything starts at 9:00 central. I might be able to stay home, but I'm not sure yet. I'll update on this tomorrow morning around 8:00.
