Avoiding Falcos chaingrab to spike?

Ive read through the match up and done as much as i can to figure it out but i can not find a consistent technique or strategy to not get chaingrabbed to a spike against my friends falco (unless he makes a mistake). Can you guys help me out? I would like to know either what my strategy should be to avoid being chaingrabbed in the first place and/or to not get spiked.

Best way to destroy a Falco like that is to take advantage of platforms. Always stay on the platforms and grenade/C4 camp. Just jump around, give Falco an "obstacle course" only for him to run into your tilts.

Characters like him needs to be played gay. It will also piss the crap out of him too. (Also ban FD at all cost)

Camp with 'nades and space with ftilt.

1) Don't get grabbed

2) Blow yourself up to 40% and you'll be too damaged to be chain-grabbed.

3) If you're being chain-grabbed, mash the B button and hope Falco screws up enough for you to get a grenade out and blow both of you up.

you could counter pick falco on stages that are not level to get around the grabs with nades and C4 camping, or you could do the other trick where you shield drop nade and run in shield blast!!!!! lol

Your going to have to leave your nades everywhere so it's hard for falco to grab you. Other wise you'll get spiked.

It may be a good idea to not drop your C4 until 45% or higher incase you do get spiked, and grabbed again. Just incase so you can recover again as a last resort.

can't you nade yourself out of the cg anyways? i dunno, this is why i don't try for the CG on snakes anymore because they can just drop a nade in the middle and i'm f'ed.

You have a lot of possiblities with your grenades and even a proximity mine. What I like to do is to shield-drop grenades and crawl under Falco's SH laser or silent laser. Mashing the B button can work since grenades come out on frame 1 or 2, so if the Falco doesn't have perfect timing, you can get out. Using a proximity mine is probably the best option if you are at a low percentage. Most forms of proper grenade camping can keep Falco at bay.

.... Falcos upsmash wont kill to snake until like the 150's same with fsmash really unless youre at the edge.

Thats falcos main problem is killing since his only reliable kill moves are predictable and arent that strong

they're predictable, but the hitboxes are really wierd, especially when he uses it at the edge of the stage and your only choice is to airdodge which usually ends in punished ****

or shield drop a grenade which either ends in a diminished shield or you make an error and recieve damage and become airborne anyway
