Austin Tournament this Saturday, Feb. 6

Who: Me and whoever else wants to come (within space limitations)
What: A humble Melee singles tournament (maybe doubles if the demand is there)
Where: My apartment at 701 W 28th St
When: Saturday, February 5, 2010 at 3 pm (exact starting time is tentative)
Why: Austin lacks tournaments
How much: $5 entry fee

I don't have the largest apartment known to man, so space is definitely limited. As such, if you're coming, please post, so I can identify when space is full. I'm thinking 10-12 is the max.

If this tournament is successful, I may consider holding these once or twice a month to help stir up the Austin Melee community. However, that doesn't mean OOC (or even OOS, haha) isn't welcome.

Oh, and concerning setups, I have at my apartment one non-laggy CRT and one laggy LCD. As most people probably won't enjoy the lag, an extra 2 or 3 setups would be much appreciated.

I was thinking we could have a melee doubles tourney at the next Smash Club meeting. I can't believe we've never done it before!

It's hard to have a doubles tourney when we typically only have 10-15 entrants, since the number of teams is half the number of players. It's ideal for a round robin I guess.
