I have a question for you all.

Are you in a slump? Do you feel like you have no inspiration?
It seems that some people are just at a loss for ideas.

I myself are in a minor slump i just found the best site for naruto sprite sheets and yet i can't seem to find any inspiration to create an animation.

I feel that i cant seem to do anything.

My slump started yesterday btw.

I ditto ya all the way. I got great renders, just nothing besides the same old song and dance to put out. Any help is apreciated.

like seriously i found the best high quality sprites of every character and i just can't do anything with them.

I feel sort of in a slump m'self. It's just as well, though... Once I goes back to UF I won't be able make fun stuff anymore, anyway... All the world is homework.

Of late, I'm really been down in a pretty big slump. I've been trying to get more personal sigs rather than requests (I'm not fond of any of my personal stuff), but I can't find anything for me to use; no inspiration, no renders, no colors, nothing. I know I've been complaining and complaining about this, but it's starting to get in the way of my shop and I don't feel like I can do sigs anymore. Whether this is true or I'm having another confidence episode, I really don't know. Could someone help me jumpstart my ability again?

Try listening to music, maybe the lyrics'll get you thinking about something to design.

Sometimes what I do is just go into Photoshop and just start messing with the background, using effects I learned from past tutorials. Just go nuts and see what happens.

Believe it or not, this began as nothing more than one multicolored layer and boredom. But I just kept tweaking it and changing it until I found something I liked. It's one of my favorite pieces now! Also, maybe your renders are getting stale. Maybe you oughta use something other than a Smash Bros. character as a subject. Hopefully you'll find your inspiration and get out of your slump. Well, let's see. You like Earthbound, right? Maybe you could use Paula or Jeff or someone in a sprite signature. Or maybe you're just getting tired of video games altogether. What sorta music do you like, and what instruments are incorporated in those genres? Try using an instrument as a subject, it doesn't have to be a person. Inanimate objects can function as really interesting subjects, especially instruments.
