Ahoy-hoy.

Right, I'm Matt, and I am currently undertaking a project/experiment thing concerning happiness. Essentially, for the next 100 days, anything that would make you genuinely happy, I will do. Any suggestions you have, be they serious or spectacular or ridiculous or weird or embarrassing or mental; anything that will make you happy, I will do.

It'd make you happy if I spelt out your name in cereal in Trafalgar Square? No worries mate, I'm on it. You want to know what actually happens if you eat Mentos then drink Coke? Fine, if it'll make you happy, I'll do so in a jiffy. You'd be happy if you want to meet up in Starbucks, or you want me to go a day solely eating bacon, or you'd like to see me stuff my shirt with garbage and roll in some raccoons? Then yes, yes, yes; say I, I will do ANYTHING!

So how d'you send me your suggestion? Couldn't be easier - simply drop me a mail at makingothershappier@gmail.com . I mean, why not? You're sitting there at your computer now, with the power to make me do whatever you want in the name of happiness at your fingertips. In just a click of a button you could be made genuinely happy!

It's worth noting I can only do suggestions given to me via e-mail, so there's not much point just leaving your suggestions in the forum comments because ideas will probably go get lost, deleted, forgotten, etc. I've got a wee youtube video, check out - http://youtube.com/watch?v=fYapbkFTaP8 , a blog doing the rounds at http://makingothershappy.blogspot.com , and even my very own forum at http://makeothershappy.proboards91.com . My antics have even made the papers as you can see here - http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/2017/2017379/have_a_hug_and_be_happy .

Go on. Live a little. I'm not a spammer - I'm just a regular joe intent on making strangers happy, and I open the gauntlet to all ideas far and wide... Think what act of whimsy or foolishness might cheer you up, let me know at makingothershappier@gmail.com , and watch your crazed suggestion come to life!

Cheers.

Interesting experiment, if impractical.

Also resisting the temptation to be an *** and say something stupid along the lines of "go kill yourself to make me happy."

You wouldn't be an *** as much as you would be a bit unoriginal - I must have received that exact request about 30 times by now.

No no, it would be much more original and interesting if instead you were to give me some stupid, ridiculous and plausible request and watch in glee as I have to do it...

How fun, I'll try it. Make me happy :) I've sent an email as well in case that is the required format...

I desire via email and on smashboards of you, Wil.E.Coyote, dressed as a Mudkip, shaking hands and drinking a chocolate milkshake with Billy Bob Thorton. Also, I'd appreciate it if I was sent a picture of this incredible feat, as well as you posting a picture of the request at this thread.

I will also accept Dane Cook or Jessica Alba if you can't get a hold of Thorton.

If that isn't acomplishable, I'm sure I can think of something else. Buuuut, I still must make it a ridiculous challenge

Did you send him the email asking him to do that, MattDel?

Hmm.... I'm trying to think of something for him to do that would make me genuinely happy, and not just be a jerk.

Okay...I think I got one. I would like you, Wil.E.Coyote, to walk around your city or other nearby high-population-density area wearing a poster with the Ubuntu logo and the words "Linux for Human Beings". It can be hand-drawn. If you wish, you can also put "www.ubuntu.com" on the poster.

I'll send the email in a sec.

Not surprised that it's common, but I think this experiment is rather implausible in most cases, given your travel, budget and law limitations, among others. The "kill yourself" thing was just the quickest examply of that issue that came to mind.

"Ignore all other requests except this one to make me happy" is another example that comes to mind. Though I wouldn't be terribly shocked if that was already submitted, too.

It just seems weird how many times he says his email...over and over. Just seems like he is begging us to email him and see his website.

No offense to you Wile.

Does anyone else have a feeling that this project/experiment is not about him actually doing the stuff we tell him to, but about what we'll tell someone to do to make us happy?

I think he's just going to look at the requests as part of some project. He's not actually going to do the stuff.

Or, he could just be trying to get out emails so he can spam us. I think that might be likely because he said that we had to email our requests, and not put them in the thread, which is kind of weird.

Either way, I'm less than completely convinced that this is legitimate.

Mr. Jammer, if you have a potter round my blog and youtube account, etc, you'll see definitively I AM doing the challenges. I appreciate it might appear as if I'm some horrible nasty spam thing who's going to start sending you mails about lotteries and expensive things you can do to your genitals, but the fact of the matter is I'm not, and there's plenty of evidence to support such..

I always appreciate things like this.. very interesting.

I can't necessarily think of anything you can do right now that can make me happy but I have to be honest, the whole idea of this is putting a smile on my face. :)

I have a good idea.

I want you to get a picture of you eating at a Taco Bell while reading "I Am America (And So Can You!)" by Stephen Colbert and wearing a monacle, and put the picture on this thread.

Logical. Yes. Funny. Hell Yes.

Coyote, do you even play Smash? Why did you choose to come into this forum to ask us for things to do?

Because this is the Pool Room.

Jammer, why do you post so much? 23.77 posts per day is a bit steep.

No, I meant like why SWF, of all the forums in the world?

I don't really post that much. Well, maybe I do. I spend a lot of my free time on the computer, and I usually have a SmashBoards tab open that I check on every few minutes. I'm even on during school in 3 of my classes where the teachers let me (I sit in the back, and try to type really quietly). I guess that's why I post so much.

He cannot be serious.

Man, you are going to kill yourself trying to make other people happier. And then the net happiness in the world would be lower.

I think understand you're trying to start something, by having people whom you've made happier make other people happier, and so on, making the world a brighter place. While admiral, I just hope your quest doesn't leave you a burnt-out old hobo, yelling at all the passers-by, "Be happy while you still can! Depression is coming soon! Rarghh!"

Good luck, though. I don't know you; maybe you are some amazing person who can make a difference.

Alright, this topic annoys me. All the posts are people just saying stupid stuff in an attempt to be funny.

No one is allowed to post except Wil. E. and he has 24 hours to accept. That's 4pm tomorrow, my time.

1. A 8*11 sheet with you writing the words "Hello Smashboards. This is Wil. E. Coyote. CK you are the man."
2. The sheet should be written in a red, pink, or some such color paint pen or permanent marker.
3. You must read it outloud while you write it.
4. You must wear a solid white t-shirt with the name of another member from this topic (other than me and yourself)
5. In the background, Wham!'s "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" should be played in which, once you are done reading and writing the above, you will sing and dance to.

Agree to the above and you have 72 hours from the timestamp of your post, to comply or you will be banned. Don't respond within 24 hours and this will get shut down.

I want some proof of this and I'm tired of people just spamming.

Any non-mod posts will be warned from here on out.

Great request, Eric.

My request is to videotape yourself GoldenEye style as you approach Uwe Boll and punch him in the face.

I'm dead serious. That would make me deliriously joyful.
