Are guaranteed Gerudo followups GUARANTEED?

I've been meaning to ask this, but I'm reluctant because I think the answer may already be in some obvious place. But I can't find the answer, I'm just too puzzled to leave it unasked any longer.

I printed out the chart--the one that is readily available on multiple Ganon guides--that shows all of the followups out of Gerudo. I notice that a large portion of the cast is "Guaranteed" to be hit with every followup (Jab, DTilt, FTilt) out of Gerudo.

However, for me, the only guaranteed followup that acts as the chart says is Jab. For example, it says Ike is guaranteed to be hit with all three. Jab works pretty much every time (though occasionally, I barely miss and sparks fly from his body), but the other two only work sometimes--not all the time as the chart seems to imply.

I'm wondering if Wifi has something to do with it, though I'm not sure why slight lag would keep me from buffering a tilt. My theory is that there's some sort of timer, and that mashing the A button to get the tilt out keeps me from getting the attack out on the earliest possible frame.

So my 3 questions:

-Are "guaranteed" followups guaranteed for you?
-Do you mash A for the followup, or do you press it once?
-Any idea how to fix my situation?

A lot of it is because you are playing online. Input can really get messed up because its speed and priority of input actually depends greatly on whether you are the host or the slave.

Also, the issue with d-tilt probably happens because you are slamming down the control stick and hit A for the d-tilt. This causes the crouch animation which make it take a bit longer, which most often will cause you to miss the hit. Tilt only slightly downwards to bypass the crouching animation, and you should be hitting a lot more often.

F-tilt, I'm not sure why you're missing.

That should help a lot man, thanks. I'm too tired to try right now, but your DTilt explanation makes sense. I don't try Ftilt very often, but I've done it enough times to know that it's not guaranteed when it's supposed to be either. So who knows, maybe its success rate is a lot higher than I thought. I'll test that out too.

Anyone else have problems with Wifi as well? I want to get to the absolute bottom of this if possible.

Ftilt is really hard to buffer because there's always one or two walking frames in the way. Try putting A-sticking (Change C-stick from Smash to Attack)

Just use a very sensitive touch with FTilt and the walking frames shouldn't even come out the big mistake most people make is to just slam down the control stick. If it really bothers you just use C-Sticking for tilts, its worth since as I recall it makes it much easier to buffer reverse hits out of aerials. Only thing you really lose is a easy stutter step FSmash which is still possible with the right spacing and timing and quick reverse USmash's. (Which I value quite highly)

Thanks guys. I'd rather not ditch C-stick smash, especially due to the fact that it makes stutter stepped Fsmash so easy.

I tested it out and slightly tilting the control stick is working wonderfully. Thanks for the help everyone
