You can do melee in a day if you are good enough.

Huh, I had a feeling Ike would return as a starter, Captain Falcon and Marth too since they're known as characters in SSB. What I didn't expect is Shulk, Greninja, Pac-Man, Palutena, Robin, and Luigi being starters. For one, I feel like newcomers should be more unlockable than starters. As for Luigi, well, I kind of miss the whole "2" thing he had going on to unlock him in SSB.

Yeah, but you can do it quick in melee because you know how to unlock everyone, for all we know an unlock could be play for 48 hours or get 3000 kills in regular smash.

Kinda moot since you can get trophies of characters before they're unlocked and without knowing if it's an Assault, 64, etc. trophy, then we can never assume.
