I have time off then and am considering attending, post if you would be interested in making the trip.

Preliminary searches for flights indicate a trip to the east coast could cost as little as $1300, which seems very good value for January.

Post thoughts on attending.

I did this for AGDQ/APEX2013 and it was pretty fun

Absolutely loved it last year; a later date for apex 2014 makes it much more affordable also.

I really want to do an APEX because I barely got to play any smash at Evo, but if we make it back into Evo it would be summer and coincide with my friend's bucks party in Vegas. Ughghghhgh why can't I be made of money?

SD, did you play any of your EVO matches on a recording set up? I've been trying to find your matches, but to no avail.

Man, evo was so ****ing hype.

Nothing tournament. I played against M2K on the VGbootcamp stream which you can find in their past broadcasts though, at the end of the session starting with Vectorman and some ice climber and the following video.

none of the major US tourneys will get you much game time in. if you can sneak in a small/medium sized tourney before or after the main event, you'll get a better fix.

as for apex, i loved the last one, but there's another event in california at the same time competing for my attention...
