Anyone played the new Monkey Ball game yet?

I plan on getting it soon and I want so opinions on it other than game journalists.

It's really good - that being said, even as a casual fan I did notice the physics are off.

I'd advise against buying it if you already have a GC, Xbox or PS2 with 1&2, but it's a great option if you don't have any of those.

If you have IRL friends to play the party games with I'd say go for it.

Some of the physics are a little wonky at times, but it is still good(outside Monkey Target, the reviewers are right on this one...I'm hoping for a patch to this).

It's a solid singleplayer title, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it at full price unless you and some friends want to play the party game titles regularly, as the single player experience can only take you so far.

One pretty lame thing is that all the unlockable characters aren't playable in the party games though. No Sonic, Tails, Beat, Kiryu or even Jam and Jet in the party game mode, and likewise none of the cosmetics can be used on these characters.
In turn it really makes it hard to justify paying for the likes of Morgana, Suezo or Hello Kitty when they're not usable outside story and ranking mode either. They really should have been playable in every mode.
