Top tier in that game too? If he's good in Smash, he's good everywhere. ( I am aware that Marth is not top in Brawl, but he is extremely good)

I played the original FE1 and kinda enjoyed. Playing it in Japanese wasn't too hard. Unfortunately, he had no life and the game's story was bland. The FE1 remake for the DS is just amazing. I highly suggest you get it Marth mains. WOOT!

What! Can't a Ness main like Marth overall?

(I have FE3 as well).

Marth has no promotion, so his usefulness kinda runs dry towards the end, but he's still awesome for the entire time in book 1.

Falchion was horrible, yeah... but it was considered good back in the day (plus it can heal).

Marth is so not top tier in his games.

We will see if that changes in the remake.

Technically none of them are because there tool essential to winning the game to be placed into tiers, same as the thiefs when your trying to S hector hard mode in FE7.

However if you want tier placements for characters in there games this is my opinion cause I haven't seen FE tiers in a while:

FE 1-3: Marth Phailz

FE4: Sigurd top tier Celice mid tier before promotion high tier afterwards

FE5: didn't play ;_;

FE6: Roy is only slightly better than Marth(still bull****)

FE7: Lyn low/mid tier Eliwood high tier Hector High/Top Tier

FE8: Ephraim High/Top tier Erika mid tier

FE9/10 Ike Top Tier and the best lord ever

Ike...top tier?

No.

Ike makes that game unfair to your enemies.

That's how overpowered he is.

Hyper God Tier is what Ike is in PoR

Deciding FE5 tiers is silly. FE5 was a game which main focus was on god awesome hardness with SCROLLS to increase growth rates, the character skills and their personal weapons.

Leaf was a very good character; but that was mainly plot related. He had a large plethora of GOOD personal weapons. Really. His personal weapons made him extremely good. But alas, he wasn't made to be an awesome one man army. Even though he easily was by the end of the game.

Roy wasn't bad... He could easily hold his own up until the point that his inability to promote UNTIL SO MUCH LATER held him back compared to the rest of the cast. But most of the fe6 cast was broken... AND AWESOME, so yeah definitely not top tier...

FE4: Holsety user was always godlier. So was Ares. One 'wo-man' armies such as Arya and Lachesis count as well... But eh, I guess every character in the 2nd gen of FE4 had the ability to be god tier.

Fe7: Eliwood sucked. He had more -even'd- out growths than Roy, but was weaker in hp and defense than so many others. Hector on the other hand... whoa.

Marth wasn't in FE2.

FE8: Everyone was awesome... yet Ephraim was still up there...

Roy was USELESS

Pretty much everyone in FE4 could be god tier.

Eliwood didn't suck, though if you weren't trying for S in Hector hard mode lyn was better but for the S 7 move units are realy important.

I assumed Marth was in FE2 I never got a rom for those games.

FE8 was WEAK cause you could tower of valni everyone but it did have the most interesting characters IMO

@EL: I know Ike is overpowered but I tried to be as objective as possible.

But yes, Ike using Ragnell and activating aether is an unstoppable juggernaught...of doom

The remake for DS though. *I barely played FE1*

Not the mention:

Falchion
10 ,Marth only, effective against Mediuth, negates non-Mamkute direct attacks, can be used to recover HP

Falchion
E
12
Marth only, effective against Mamkutes and Earth Dragons, can be used to recover 10 HP

excactly. It negates 90% of attacks AND recovers all HP, for anything he isn't immune to.

Do you have any idea how insane that is? Marth can literally solo the last two chapters of FE1 NES.

I haven't played a FE game with Marth in it yet, but I remember that I could take on the entire Valni tower with just 1 Bishop.
