Any tips on facing Shiek?

As a new Samus user, of all people, Shiek gives me a decent amount of trouble in Brawl. I'm decent in Z-Airing and missile cancelling, it's just that Shiek comes charging through and proceeds with automatic tilt-A combos.

Samus can get out of the f-tilt combo of Shiek with a nair, but other than that, Shiek seems to have a huge speed advantage over me.

I also have trouble with her smash. If I spot dodge either the down/forward smash, the second shot hits me, and if I'm spaced to not take a hit, I can't retaliate because my forward-smash doesn't reach and she has almost no lag out of the down smash.

Also kind of hard to spike her off the stage with her chain

Any tips?

I would say samus gets ***** in this match from what I've seen in vids...

however be ready to play short range, samus has very good comboing abilities from her fair, dash, uair, and grab.... spam some when she's at a distance.... she's good at closing the match though...
her grab is set up decently with a homing missile which will force her into a shield usually, however don't rely on this too much...
Also take advantage of her ledge game, I think samus definitely has an advantage here.

If she's using her chain to recover anticipate it and spike where she will be after she uses her tether....

samus is at a disadvantage I think in this match... however, I think you can make it fairly close if you play right, and anticipate her approaches...

The fair really helps me out, and zair after a SHM.

One of the things I like to do is directly out of an air-attack I jab. It really messes up their approahces because they can normally dash attack and hit you right after you land, but the jab sets them right up for adownsmash or forward smash.

Hand - to - hand combat is really tough. It's certainly doable, lots of jabbing. It just seems like Shiek really gives me trouble. Any uses for bombs?

Retreating bombs.

Play the edge, my friend Nite who mains shiek seems to have an issue when im on the ledge fighting him. IE I bait him to come to me first. Then whatever tickles your fancy.

EDIT: dont forget about your neutral a combo and tilts(mainly f and d tilt but u tilt too) seeing as how they are your fastest moves. they will really help out in your close range game. dont forget to up b out of sheild too. this is also a very fast way of dealing damage........im not too experienced in this matchup but i would think that bombs would help too. i cant count how many times they have broken my opponents combos and general "flow" of thier characters.
