Any possibility of P:M for SSB Wii U?

I'm just curious if the devs are considering bringing Project M to SSB Wii U at some point? This would be amazing if it could be done!

I think the PNBR should take a well-deserved rest after finishing P:M. Besides, if the new Smash does end up being good (such a mean thing to say lol Poor Sakurai), does it really matter?

Project M as of right now works on Wii U.
Hacking the new smash will probably not happen, as Wii U hacking is dead. The people who have the skills to jumpstart the homebrew scene don't want to, as there are plenty of open devices that are available for around the cost of a WiiU that are open for development, with no legal ramifications, with similar performance.

after yesterday's news announcements,I have seen an ideal of hope for SSB4.

And if that hope rings true....we may not need another P:M.Especially if Smooth Landing is back.

or if there is another one,it will be for the hell of it rather then how this one was almost mandatory for some due to the changes in Brawl.

The Wii U hacking scene is so new that it's way to early to say what's possible at this point, but the PMBR has nothing in the works: we just want to focus on making this game the best it can be.

That said, P:M is fully playable on the Wii U, just like any other Wii game.

A hacked Smash Wii U does not need to be done, the new characters from that game just need to be added to PM!

Now, now. Don't discourage them.

I wonder how they feel about Smash 4's trailer, though.

my guess is that by the time SSB4 is released, P:M will already have a cloning engine, and they can put the new characters from SSB4 into Project M.

I've always seen P:M not as an attempt to "fix Brawl" but as an attempt to make a brand-new game based off of Melee. Melee's been around for almost 12 years and it's still going strong despite new SSB games coming out, just because of how good it is. P:M is an attempt to take that and expand on it, because as good as Melee is it still suffers from a lot of balance issues and a lack of neutral stages, mostly because of the way it was designed - HAL wasn't exactly thinking of the competitive Smash scene.

The idea isn't to redesign every Smash game that comes out, it's to make one Smash game that will last.
