Either one of these two:

1. An ISJR.
2. The game registered you as landing on the platform and immediately falling through it.

It is ISJR. I recommend you find the thread in Tactical using the search function, since that is where you will find the best explanation.

Ha, awesome. Don't those have to be frame perfect to work though? Bowser's is the only one I've been able to do (part of the reason why I use him >.>).

Yeah, at first I didn't think it was ISJR because I didn't seem to get low enough to the ground, but that's probably the best explanation.

And I haven't been able to pull it off again...

HMMM.......

I wonder if this can be recreated by doing the same as with FOG..

Ya know: [ DJ -> Airdodge -> down+b ] ... but instead ... [ DJ -> Airdodge -> jump+Uair ]

We don't necessarily know that the timing is the same. I never saw anyone do any frame data.

... which is odd, since the community does have debug mode for the game now, so frame data is directly observable...

I just messed around with this, and noticed that it can be recreated with the same method as FoG...
[ SH -> DJ+Airdodge at the peak of the SH -> jump+Uair upon landing ]

Probably common knowledge, but you can use any aerial out if it. Not just Uair.

I wish this could lead into some effective stuff ;/

You guys just need to practice. This is old hat. You can do ISJR out of FJ DAir, UAir, Airdodge, and BAir.

Also, I don't think the action in the vid is a platform cancel.

i dont know if this is what u guyz have been sayin, because i don't know those 4 letter terms.

what happened is you did ur 1st and second jumps. then there is this thing that lets you do the second jump animation infinitely if you jump with perfect timing. so i think you just did 2 jumps and that.

very lucky with the timing
