2nd Quest is the only part of Zelda 1 you really need a guide for. Most players today are going to want one for AoL though. One thing I also can't stand are "Guide Games"
Zelda 1 being a great example.
I usually don't mind this. In most cases, I'm able to heal up before it gets really annoying.
Usually.
BUT THEN THERE'S POKÉMON GEN 5, WHERE THEY DECIDED TO MAKE AN ENTIRE SONG OUT OF IT. AND IT SEEMS THAT THE TIMES WHERE I'M LOW ON HEALTH THE MOST ARE DURING THE ELITE FOUR, THE FINAL N BATTLE, AND THE GHETSIS BATTLE, A.K.A. THE PARTS WITH SOME OF THE BEST MUSIC IN THE SERIES. IT GETS REALLY ANNOYING HAVING THE AMAZING MUSIC INTERRUPTED WITH THAT GARBAGE EVERY TIME MY POKÉMON'S HEALTH GETS KNOCKED DOWN BELOW 25 PERCENT (WHICH HAPPENS A LOT BECAUSE I DON'T TRAIN MANY REALLY DEFENSIVE POKÉMON) AND I HAVE TO TURN OFF THE VOLUME BECAUSE OTHERWISE I'M GOING TO GET A HEADACHE.

Miltank used Milk Drink........reinforcements for the enemy
I think it adds a bit of realism to the game. Sure, if the enemy summons powerful foes every turn, that's ridiculous, but some enemies dropping by every few turns is fair, imo.reinforcements for the enemy
This brought to my mind: in XY, the same bush that has Miltanks, has Chatots. They have chatter, a move with accuracy of 100% and it ALWAYS confuses. That is by no means enjoyable. Not in the slightest. And to apply this to many other games in general, I hate moves that are hard to dodge and have annoying consequences.Miltank used Milk Drink........

Sounds like FF VII and VIII. Certain enemies in random encounters can either wipe out your entire team in one shot, or cause so many ailments (confusion, berserk, blind, sleep, slow and petrify all at the same time, possibly others) with one move that you can't do anything to the enemy and your life is slowly ticking away. ...Or they smack you with a ridiculously powerful move to finish you off afterwards. OR some bosses spam the same powerful (not quite powerful enough to end you but enough to weaken you) move twice in a row just as the battle starts and you don't even get a chance to make a move. This brought to my mind: in XY, the same bush that has Miltanks, has Chatots. The Rocko's Modern Life licensed game uses that mechanic. I don't even know how to get past the first level. It's a shame, because Rocko is one of my favorite cartoons.ESCORT QUESTS.
When will devs realize that being dragged down by a slow, defenseless NPC with brain-dead AI is not fun?
It's not really a problem these days, but man when I was a kid did timers stress me out to no end.Timed Missions/Levels/etc
FIFTEEN MINUTES? I CAN DO IT IN FIVE.I'm getting Security Hall PTSD just from thinking about it.
