Howdy, guys. I'm going to be getting an X-Box 360 soon (Premium, of course) and some games. I'm definitely getting Gears of War and Chrome Hounds. What other games would you recommend. Nintey Nine Nights looked interesting and F.E.A.R seems tempting, but I don't know all that much about them. Also, just a heads up, I'm not that interested in Oblivion. Other than that, I'm all ears for game suggestions and what not. I'll also, most likely, be a constant live user.

That leads me to my next question. I have wireless internet. How should I get internet to my 360? The wireless adapters seem ridiculously priced and I don't want a clumsy ethernet cable running from my adapter to my 360. I have a modem attatched to my computer that plugs in with a USB part so that my computer can pick up the internet in my room. Could I unplug that and use that on my 360? Or is there a better alternative I'm not seeing?

Share, discuss, etc.

Thanks.

This topic is almost sure to be closed, because we already have a topic somewhere in this room for game recommendations.

However, I'm going to take this opportunity to promote Assassin's Creed, because it's an amazing looking game that's getting very little attention from most gamers. It won't be out until late this year, but it's already one of the main reasons I'm planning on getting a 360.

It's made by Ubisoft, which pretty much guarantees that it will be at least decent, and the concept really appeals to me. It takes the acrobatics from the recent Prince of Persia games, which Ubisoft also did. Then it combines them with free roaming gameplay set in three different medieval cities, as well as realistic crowd simulation that enables the player to utilize "social stealth" by blending in with the people around you.

It looks like a really amazing game, and I don't think people are as aware of it as they ought to be.

I don't own one myself, but my friend is a hardcore Xbox 360 fanboy.

Recently, he's been playing Viva Pinata. Though it looks childish and stupid, it's really, really fun.

Before that, he was addicted to Gears of War. I've played it with him, and I must admit-- it's an amazing game.

Before that, he had Rainbow Six Vegas. Pretty much the only good Rainbow Six game ever.

Then there's Dead Rising. Endless possibilities.

And of course, as Mediocre suggested, Assassin's Creed.

Not to mention Halo 3 is coming out sometime... this year? Maybe next.

Anyway, Xbox has an amazing assortment of games. I'm surprised you even needed help finding them.

If you have a 360 and aren't connected to Live in some way, you are missing out on more than half the experience. The only wireless dealy that works with the 360 is the official adapter by Microsoft that costs $100, though you can also use an ethernet bridge if you want.
