Am I the only one who really likes Tingle?

Sometimes I think I'm the only one who appreciates him.

I find him amusing. I know he's a freak, and, given the moment, he would steal your money and set your house ablaze, but aren't our greatest literary characters a bit eccentric? Willy Wonka, Professor Dumbledore, Keith Richards?

I dunno. But I feel he deserves some respect. I mean, you would have to have guts to wear green spandex with a red speedo. He obviously doesn't care what people think, and that's a good trait for individuality.

I think he just wants to be loved. We all want to be loved. So in his honor, a made a stage saluting his greatness. (Link if anyone wants to give her ago)

Is there anyone, out there on this big ol' forum, who likes Tingle? Or am I the only man in line for book signings at the Tingle Convention?

Lol you guys OBVIOUSLY have never met me or a few other people I know here then. Really, just look at my profile, location, and profile picture(by the way, my avatar submissions of Tingle better be submitted, hopefully).

If you guys were here in June07(or something around there), I was the person in a thread called "Final Zelda Discussion-Who's in, Who's Out" backing up Tingle all the way and shooting down the Midna lovers(and we won considering Midna couldn't even become an assist trophy). Oh yeah, I've had to back up Tingle A LOT and even convinced people to like him.

And if ANYONE goes and claims "Tingle is gay or acts it", go study up on his RPG.

By the way guys, support Tingle RPG for a U.S. release so I don't have to import the European version.

Tingle by far is the weirdest Nintendo character that exists to date. I know this is pretty prejudgemental seeing I've neverplayed a pikmin game, but I think tingle should have had a place in the game (SSBB) instead of... Olimar.

He's pretty cool, just for the weirdness alone. His maps are pretty handy too.

Tingle RPG is for the DS(as is Tingle's Balloon Fight).

I like Tingle for what he is, a good creepy character. I've just started replaying Majora's Mask, so it's funny I happen upon this thread now. I <3 Tingle. I was going to buy his game when I was in Europe, but I can't brin myself to pay the price of European games.

Really, if you think about it, there are loads of weird or creepy characters in the Zelda universe. The guy running the smithy in the mountain village creeps me out, too.

My fear as well my friend. I'll give it probably a year(maybe), and if it ain't out here, which it should be, then I'm gonna have to port it.
This thread should be like a Tingle "fan" club. Something where we could talk about the RPG, Tingle in general, Zelda games, stuff like that. As long as it doesn't go to spam and it's about Tingle, I wouldn't see a problem.(mods?)

I doubt Tingle's game would be released here. Nintendo probably doesn't think the market here is right for a Tingle game in the states.

You make me want to like blow somethine up for calling those our great literary characters. Ever read a A Tale of Two Cities? Tom Sawyer? LOTR? Narnia? KEITH RICHARDS!!!! COME ON DUDE!!! Don't go talking about great literary charcters if all you can reference is junk like that. I do kind of have a problem with Tingle myself on a side note. My bro calls him Sanjay because we didn't know his name when we first saw him at Great Bay in Melee, so he just made up a name. It's pretty funny actually.

The funniest thing is, I never liked any of them... Tingle included.

The first time I saw him in Majora's Mask, I thought to myself... "Oh, you've got to joking. This can't be happening. Some creepy gnome thing in the sky is trying to sell me maps. No wonder he wants a fairy."

From that moment on, I never bought a map. Tingle didn't deserve the money, in my opinion. He has since been a running joke for my brother and I, and we caused him as much pain as we could. I have yet to play any other Zelda game featuring Tingle, though, so I'm not sure how he has progressed since MM.

That being said, I think he did his job. He managed to entertain me, even if it was in a negative way, and I don't think I'll ever forget that little guy. Lots of characters that are annoying have staying power and Tingle will be no different. So, I guess that in the end, I kind of like Tingle because he's so good at making me hate him.
