Inf' lives in Nice, in the South East of France, more than 500 miles away from the tournament.

As for ClemJ, he's been somewhat retired since late 2008, but he placed surprisingly well at this tournament (beating Ashura, Doraki and Benoit is no joke).

Cyr's matches were entertaining. How does he do in international tournaments?

At the last international tournament he attended, he placed 13th, beating Zgetto (in pools) and Remen, and losing to Ashura (in pools), Faab and Vanity Angel.
That was in June 2010, and he kept improving since that time, so I hope he'll place well in the future. He may attend BEAST 2.

Wouldn't international tournaments encompass all players from Canada, US and EU?

Oh man.. I can imagine like a tournament Genesis 2 + Beast 2 together, geezzz... haha. Imagine how stacked the brackets would be >_<.

Haha it would be awesome.

As for international tournaments... These notions are different in North America and Europe. Pretty much every 70+ attendants tournament is international in Europe, as people travel quite easily from one country to another. We reached something like 15 nationalities for ESA2 (the biggest tournament in Europe).
But for US, real international tournaments are only the large tournaments where many top players from every country attend. And it was the case for ESA4, as the best French/Dutch/Swedes/Austrian/Brits were there.
