I'd prefer to get better before challenging. Also, the rules say: "You may only challenge a player up to 5 spots above you." If you don't have a spot, how can you challenge someone 5 spots above you?

I just won a tournament! However, it was a free for all tournament and wavedashing was banned. Are those weeklies in philly still going on? Are there any tournies in the philly, westchester, or chester county area that I should know about that are coming up (like in the next two weeks? I know about the november ones)? I've been gone for a while.

Anyway...

I'm not part of a crew.

I play as KCS
I'm in Exton, PA

As for activity level... I'm active but not active plus so... I drove three hours to go to my first tournament. I don't feel like doing that ever again.

Some scrub tournies do that. They see the threads some people make on wavedashing being a glitch and think "haks?!? i no allow this 4 i cant do it nd dey will beet me !!!".

Kasumi, look into going to capefest. Not a tournament, but it's good practice. Closest non-scrub tournaments around here are TGP and KoTC, though both are still full of scrubs.

Isn't the capefest in shippensburg? If not I'll look into it. I know for a fact TGP is far away considering that that's where I went and had to drive forever. And KoTC? Never heard of it. I guess I'll browse this section a bit. It's been a while since I've been on here.

Its even worse when you go to a school tourney... and no one knows what wavedashing is, and you have to try and explain thats its not a glitch, its just taking advantage of the physics engine... nevertheless there wasn't much competition at that tourney...

TGP had a FFA tourny? I know they don't ban wavedashing there, and I'm pretty sure they don't hold FFA's. Capefest is in Shippensburg.

No, TGP did not ban wavedashing or hold a FFA. The tournament I won was closer to me. (it wasn't even a good tourney, but I figured, what the heck)

I would NOT have won ANYTHING at TGP under ANY circumstances.

Translated.

But yeah, I'm not super busy this week, so if people want to come by and play, just contact me like a day in advance and I'll arrange time to practice with you.

Yeah, I need to get better at...everything, but grabbing especially. Playing against computers is no fun.

Never.

Use the PA Match Finder for that, this is the PHILLY thread :\
well i figured if philly wants to look for people to play... including counties that surround philly would increase that number, considering those people go into philly plenty of the time since it is a city very close by.

I live in South Jersey. I go to school at Drexel. If I wanted to find SJ matches I'd look in one of the Jersey matchfinders.
firstly there is no thread called that. And I didnt say south jersey I said COUNTIES SURROUNDING PHILLADELPHIA.... I used Pakman On Crack who is from a county just outside surrounding like he said. As an example.... because he pointed that out. Yes I know he goes to Drexel. Furthermore, I'm in Philly plenty of the time, so it wouldnt be that hard to mosey on down to beat you when I'm there.

Gloucester County is just outside Philadelphia. As for the Jersey finder threads, you're clearly blind:
http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=58514
http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=88039
http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=75061

And yes, I'm being stubborn. I hate doing it, and I don't know why I do it, but I do it.
I said the name MATCHFINDER wasn't a thread. You really need to listen to what I say. That's twice now that you've failed at that. I have been to those threads all before. But, nearly all of my competition in philly when it comes to local players. Also, it does seem understandable for someone who lives at like the east end of Burlington county to not come to Philly. However, I'm talking about people who commute to Philly on a regular basis... If I went to Drexel I would commute because it would be cheaper for me. I know Philly people who commute to my school. By your rules anyone 5 feet across the boarder into Philly wouldnt count for this little thread. What is now my issue is no longer this... because Cactuar will decide... my issue is why would some poor little smasher have a problem with competition that already can come to his **** doorstep without going out of the way. You already have lack of competition because there isnt an abundance of smash brothers players. Get with the program and stop being a fool.
