Mods can lock this if they must. If I must recieve an infraction, give it to me. I'm just very pissed at what happened and feel like I must let the word know about it. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Tuesday I went to a Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament at my local mall. After it was finished, my dad took me home. Unknown to me, I left my GameCube Memory Card there. Didn't notice till I got back home. When I did notice, I called the place, and it was still open. They said they have it, and will lock it up for me to pick up Tuesday.

Today my Mom went to pick it up for me, so I can practice over the weekend. But when she got there, they told her that someone stole it, and they have no idea who did it or where it might be. Now this is very depressing, as I have almost 2000 hours logged onto it. I've had it since 2001, around Launch Time of the GameCube. The games I had on it was as follows :

Super Mario Sunshine - 30 Hours - 60% Complete.

Pokemon Colosium - 20 Hours - 90%[ Complete.

Super Smash Bros. Melee - 1000 Hours - 100% Complete.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle - 200 Hours - 90% Complete.

Sonic Adventure DX - 60 Hours - 90% Complete.

Sonic Heroes - 100 Hours - 80% Complete.

Shadow the Hedgehog - 40 Hours - 100% Complete.

Dance Dance Revolution : Mario Mix - 100 Hours - 100% Complete.

Legend of Zelda : Wind Waker - 200 Hours - 95% Complete.

Mario Kart Double Dash - 130 Hours - 85% Complete.

Mario Party 6 - 7 - 50 Hours - 60% Complete

Sonic Riders - 40 Hours - 100% Complete.

I got many more games, but those are the ones I can name off the top of my head without lying about my lenth in it. Wind Waker I had the 200 Hours in the extra file, after you beat the game once. You can also see my major Smash Records.

Is it right for me to be depressed? Now they did offer me a White NGC Memory Card, which I took with no problems, but I'll never be able to get my Data Back from this.

Again, I got more, but I love my Sonic Games. I lost Pokemon Colosium, but still got my Data. Mario I really don't know why I got that many though...

And Smash is a great game.

Would it help if I said I also got Yu-Gi-Oh The FalseBound Kingdom? Didn't think so.

Makes me wonder if it was really stolen or the game store took it.

Sorry for your loss.

Sariku, I feel your pain buddy. I would be so pissed if I had to re-beat all my games again. And the worst part is, that isn't even all your games!

Actually, if this happened to me, I'd be too angry to play videogames anymore really. The only game I'd play is Smash, and I'd copy my friends memory card.

Oh man. I'm a really angry guy, and I just can't imagine what would happen to me in this situation.

1000 hours in Melee? JESUS CHRIST!

That's 42 days IN ONE game. I don't think COLLECTIVELY I've played 1000 hours. The most ever in one game was Oblivion with 100 hours when I'd leave it run while I went to work.

You obviously haven't seen most other people's data here. Most everyone who has played seriously since the beginning has over 1000, some stadium players I know have more than twice that.

With that said you didn't have any Phantasy Star Online data so I wouildn't be too sad. >_>

They better not of, I'm the one who wins most of their Smash Tourneys, well since Varuna left.

I don't know if I'll ever play these games again, I'm really depressed about it.

Except Melee.

I couldn't get into Phantasy Star. Don't know why, probably the same reason I can't get into Halo or anything.

Though I take some offence that just becaues I don't have that game it's not a big deal. It's like I don't have a Game Cube anymore. I don't have any data... and I worked hard on alot of it...

1 player plays for an hour, it counts as an hour
2 players play for an hour, it counts as two hours
and so on

I can't beleive you actually played Sonic Heroes and Shadow The Hedgehog for that long...

Are you crazy?
I don't know why people hate Sonic Heroes so much. Yes, their Multiplayer Sucks, but awesome songs and great gameplay, it was a one of kind game.

I don't think all my games together are 100 hours.

Seriously..

Why do you care about your game data if the game was pretty much already beaten? I don't usually play Zelda games when I'm 95% done, just to walk around and giggle. And the last 5%? Not a big loss. Watch the ending on Youtube.

The only game that I'd be dissapointed about would be Melee-- but it could be fun to re-unlock all the characters.

Believe me, there are worse things that can happen then losing your video game data.

If this is the kind of thing that makes you rant/angry, you should be very thankful that you don't have any real bad issues in your life.

There's not much you can do but get a little mad and move on; they're just video games.

None of your business.
Ouch...

I'm very sorry about what happened. I had a similar problem in which my memory card got corrupted and I lost all my data for some of my games (I have mulitiple memory cards) but nothing in the same league as this.

I guess the only advice I would suggest is just try to let it go, and remember that Brawl is coming out which is shaping up to be even better than Melee. I know it's not much, but really, when something gets stolen, there's really not much you can do.

My memory card once got busted and I was pretty pissed off too. Then I realized that Smash and RE4 were pretty much the only games I really played anymore, then I was just pissed because I no longer had the Hand Cannon unlocked, and that's pretty **** hard to do. The point is, if you really have played all those games as much as you have, I'd be amazed if you still played all of them regularly, and if you don't, than it's not that big a deal, you can unlock everything in Smash in two days, except maybe the stages you unlock through versus.

Sorry to hear that. If that ever happened to me, I would probably be really mad too. However, you should really take more care into your things. Espeically if it's that important to you.

A friend of mine once lost all his data for smash bros. He was kinda mad, but didn't mind that much. Luckily for him I remembered that I copied his memory card onto mine, so he got it all back.

huh
ouch, I feel ya there man... and to be honest, 1000 hours isnt an extreme number. think about it, thats about 5 years of owning it, making 200 hours each year, and about 40 hours a week, divided to always about half pending on the amount of people who have played it, making 10 to like 30 hours a week.... making at least 4 hours a day? on average? now if you'll excuse me, doing all this mental math made my headache worse, so I'll go lie down now...

I remember when my Playstation memory card got damaged and I lost all my game data (and I played a lot of RPGs). The short of it, it sucked.

Eww, no offense but you have a horrible taste in games.

Beat me to it =/

Anyway, this is the reason I have 2 memory cards, a 1000 block one for general use and a back up 251 block card to save my most important data onto. Everything is cheap in America [compared to here] I'm surprised you didn't have more than one memory card.
