i do have quite the library of mixable hardstyle/trance/hardcore/chill/whatever music,
and while i clearly dont know as much as you about doing what you do, i do know what sounds good.
not that i was bashing what you do.
just informing a comrad that you may not have been as baws as he thought you were or something.
if somebody who has never really heard that style of music just goes and listens to one of your mixes..one of their first instincts is to think that you made it..not just edited things together. ya meen?
Also, do you still talk to brawlpro?
me and him used to be tight a few years ago.

what genres do you have unmixed? im looking to start trying to incorperate D&B and dubstep into my hardcore mixes via timestretches and edits, but i dont know **** about those genres and wuzgood.
and i usually like when people say i dont produce, i just like to get my own word in erry time to make sure they dont think i ever claimed to.
though me and silent wolf are starting

My house can hold many more people than Mikes. Also, the smash community shouldn't center around one person, and we already had smashgiving at your house. And if you go to my house you will just carpool, so really it would be like 2 cars coming from anchorage.
How about we actually make this something cool instead of just making it a fest with a special name.
Also not to mention that ER is about halfway between Anchorage and Wasilla. It's not even all that far away, it's like a 45 minute drive. There are lots of people who work in Anchorage and live in ER and vice versa.

why should it matter who hosts what? smashmas at my house makes more sense, cuz its closer to everyones place, plus in anchorage we can like go out for donuts or dinner or karaoke or something outdoors IF people wanna do something else. my house may be smaller, but hold just as many people, plus like i said, AKG people dont wanna go to eagle river to play smash. it makes more sense for you and orry to drive here than to have everyone drive out there. and its not centered around just one person, when i host fests ive never excluded anyone, infact i post on boards EVERYONE CAN COME. that AND in case like ean and james need to work, and we go to your house, they still get ****ed over. if we have it my house, they can always just come over after work.

why do you think that we're planning it a couple weeks ahead? Its so people can plan accordingly and take days off or whatever.
We aren't going to karaoke with 12+ people, the rooms in that place can't hold that much.
I'm not complaining because I have to get to anchorage, I'm complaining because this is going to end up as just a regular fest with a name taped on it. At my house folks are forced to all spend the night (you don't even really ever have to go to bed) so it's going to be out of the ordinary.
And besides you, Matt S and Arthur can drive.
I can even pick people up if we need to.

i never said people arent gonna spend the night, infact im sure people are gonna, and ean and james arent exactly the most senior at their work place so they're schedules are sporadic. matt S' parents might not let him drive out there. point is, my place is way more convenient especially with the winter roads. if you have no problem driving to anchorage, then come to my place. that simple. plus in anchorage we have plenty of places to choose to eat breakfast from. XD

Anyways I need to take some time off from smash to finish up with graduating and other things. I probably won't make it to any fests until after the new year, if any. That includes this smashmas business.

Now THERE'S a selling point. No **** going on over there or anything.
Anyway, I'm going to go to whatever is in anchorage. Also, in case the idea wasn't processed correctly, sometimes Ean and I need to work early in the morning and have little to no control over it. I'm not about to smash until hours later than 3-4 in the morning and go to work at 8 the next day, especially considering the 45 minute drive there and back. Sh*t's bonkers. Mike and/or Kira's house make more sense for everyone. I'm not tryin' to call anyone out or nothin' like that, but it seems to me like your reasoning was made based on your individual desire.

Matt's house is awesome. I love it in fact. It was pretty amazing having like 10 pizza's, a buncha soda, several setups, money matches and even more than smash going on, but I'm not doing anything at the expense of my job. if this is to be, these things need to be planned a LITTLE bit earlier so some of us can get those days off if we even can.

this is true, i like the convinence of being in Eagle river aswell, i have no clue where what is in anchorage except the basics, let alone i have work aswell, i gotta set up days off.

alright, im done arguing wether or not we're going to eagle river or not. heres the deal. im going to keep my house open for smashmas, thats where i will be at, if people want to come over its cool come on over, if you guys wanna go to matt+'s place, thats cool too. obviously if you choose that path, ur making ur own plans at that point. i can give rides to people who want to come to mine, and i think matt said the same thing for his house too

So I guess there will be a smashmas going on at two different places.
Anyways here is what mine can offer:
Chips, Soda, Pizza, and request snacks
I will pay for gas money to drive here
Lots of room for everything.
No laggy TV's
1 Wii 1 GC 1 N64
GG, Smash of all 4 kinds, and NSMBW if people are interested
I will rent a movie to be decided by the people attending
I can probably make pancakes for everyone in the morning, there is also cerial. Or we can go to shines sushi.
I currently have 3 TV's, two regular and one small.
A beautiful view and hopefully a clear starry night sky
Real fireplace for a warm cozy room.
Lazy boy recliner and a couch, also numerous pads, pillows, and other chairs.
I can play music off my computer, unless ean brings speakers or whatever.
Go to bed whenever you want, or don't. There's plenty of room to sleep.
If needed my mom can pick up to 6 people up and bring them here.
My parents will stay out of the way and probably hole up in their room the whole time as well, so no need to worry about parents intervening.
EDIT: I figured two weeks was plenty of time to plan for a day off, was I mistaken?
Also what would be awesome is if we had a webcam and connected the two fests.

im unable to request days off within 2 weeks, its has to be after 2 weeks. but its cool, i dont wanna split it being in 2 different smash fests, we should plan different dates for other houses is the best solution.
