- i hadn't played melee for a devil of a time. since the AK gamer's thing.

- the controllers were sketchy.

you're right, rather than a scene it's more like just a group of people who play together. although honestly for almost all of its history the smash 'scene' up here was only 4-6 people.

either way, as long as people are willing to play i'm willing to let them come over/go out to play. but i've had a very difficult time getting more than 1-2 people to say they'll play anything recently, aside from eddie. that goes for both brawl and melee. other games too, of course, particularly ggxxac.

and that wasn't directed only to eddie.

The whole brawl "scene" (well actually, the smash scene in general) is being taken over by noobs who shittalk so much and think they're really good at the game. And then when I actually got to play the good people (brawl OR melee) they would just sandbag against me, which is really discouraging, which is I quit competitive smash a while ago.

Anyway eddie I heard theres a fest today at joe's ya?
