Hi Adam, it's been a while.
I kinda like the concept. It seems like a mix between Sonic and Zelda bosses. In some ways I admire that kind of originality, but I feel like guns and mutated animals don't work together that well in this image
Basically, the guns are a little out of place because only one of the characters has them, and yet they're both joined together. You could try putting some bazooka-type guns on the tortoise's (?) shell, or maybe even some kind of sniper to replace it's tongue.
Another thing I don't quite understand is the wings on his head. I don't assume that whole creature can fly with those tiny wings. First because of the size, and secondly because, well, they're not actually a part of it.
With that said, it would be good to see it coloured and finished, because it's a little... loose right now.
One thing I found that really helps is to hand-draw the concept sketch and then scan it in to whatever program you use. If you refine the lines that way, it makes it easier to create smoother lines since you have a template to follow.
Btw, I've been going up to the northeast every now and then recently for various... errands. I wonder if we've passed eachother on the train or something.
Awwwee, dude! Thanks for the critique :D
Every one has been telling me this looks like a Zelda boss (In specific they say it looks very close to the first boss of ocarina of time). I'm not sure if this will make any sense, but considering that I saw this in my dream, does it count as me "Designing" it? Lol.
Uh, the creature is actually joined all together. It was a famed tortoise that belonged to a rich man, the man was practicing dark magic and in a horrible twist of fate, he changes his turtle into this monster. The robot coming out of it's back is actually one with it, that's how the monster attacks when it's weak point (Head/Eye) is not out of the Neck Lip.
Though, I'm heavily considering adding a weapon to the head, but I also want to keep it almost exactly like I saw it in my dream (This is still not completely accurate).
As for the wings, I'm actually not sure why they're on it. It's big, I'm surprised the **** thing can walk XD. I guess it was just there for looks, I have no idea to be honest :/
I'm going to have this finished soon, I'll totally show you when it's done :D
Also, you've been going up to the N.E, huh? I'm not sure I informed you, but I moved to the northwest part of Calgary at the end of May. I Live in a neighborhood called Hawk-wood now, which is right beside Crowfoot Station. We need to hang out sometime :D
Again, thank you for your critique and I hope I cna speak to you soon!
-Adam!
