Advice for battling G&W?

I'm always having trouble with that **** G&W, both with my Snake and Wolf. His aerials simply **** too much, his smashes are too fast, he keeps juggling me with his u-air and I rarely get a chance to attack.

Does anyone have some really good advice for taking him down? What are his weaknesses that I can exploit? His air game is definitely better than Snakes, and 90% of G&W attacks are done in the air, then a smash to finish it off. I'm honestly really sick of battling him, so anyone help? Tips for either Snake, or Wolf please. Thanks.

I know what you mean. His bair... that stupid turtle is my bane right now. Never try to spot dodge it because it last waaay too long, just roll away then try and punish him with an ftilt after the attack ends because his bair has super armor frames. Or you can hold a grenade and try to grenade counter. When he uses his dair, just grab him and toss him aside, I've noticed that most g&w players shield right after doing the dair hence why grabbing would work here.

GW dies real easy from utilt.

and grenade countering helps with the turtle problem.

Yeah, as a G&W mainer, I can confirm:

Don't battle me in the air. Snake's best bet is to stay distanced, toss grenades, and tilt. It's actually very simple if you keep the little guy at bay. Although I can't remember if his tossed sausages block grenades...

It's funny, on the G&W boards, we are always complaining about Snakes, because everyone whines about how hard he is to beat! Its an interesting matchup.
