Yeah both of these were interesting reveals. I wonder if Smash Run will work online. Either way, it doesn't seem like I'll be playing it too much (same as custom movesets) maybe if I were having a party and these were just for fun. At first, I thought the WiiU version would be first, but in a buisiness (and technical) sense it makes more sense to have the 3DS one out first.2) It is coming out sooner than the Wii U version.

Yes. Releasing SSB4 Wii U for Winter might increase the Wii U's sales.Yeah both of these were interesting reveals. I wonder if Smash Run will work online. And it'd encourage people to buy both because the WiiU version is the obvious definitive version. Still excited for both. I want to try them. Did they say anything about the 3DS stages having a Final Destination mode as well as the WiiU version?Yes. Releasing SSB4 Wii U for Winter might increase the Wii U's sales.
Not necessarily, but I believe each stage will have a Final Destination version for "For Glory" mode that exists on the online mode of the games. And it'd encourage people to buy both because the WiiU version is the obvious definitive version. Oh yeeaaah they never said anything about the final destination mode in offline... hmm? Perhaps they'll try and push the WiiU to be the more competitive version. Not necessarily, but I believe each stage will have a Final Destination version for "For Glory" mode that exists on the online mode of the games.
Not really. The fact that the 3DS version's releasing first will steal the Wii U's thunder. For casuals, cheaper option is the way to go. Also, it certainly won't help Japan, where console gaming is at a decline given current Wii U and PS4 sales.Yes. Releasing SSB4 Wii U for Winter might increase the Wii U's sales.

Somethings sell better during the Winter season. I can understand your point though. Personally, I think the Wii U version will be bought a lot, because it is the home console version (allowing couch local gaming with only one console), it has stages unique only to it, and that it has improved HD graphics (some people buy things just for the HD).Not really. For core gamers, definitely. But your average Joe? I really doubt it since they don't understand the value of this. It certainly didn't help Japan either, where Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze failed to sell many units as much as DKCR 3D, and it's embarrassing how a brand new sequel barely outsold a 3D port. However, I'm sure the Wii U version will do very good, just not the Wii U itself. Here's the logic behind the release dates:
Nobody has a Wii U right now, but the 3DS is hard to keep on the shelf. Step one is to get the game to sell, and to do that, you put out the game more people can buy first. Then, once people realize just how amazing the game is on the 3DS, they will want to get the Wii U version, as it is clearly the superior of the two for many reasons. This forces them to buy a Wii U with the game, and being right around the holidays, Christmas bonuses will make people more inclined to buy them.
True. I'm worried about the Wii U's future, but I'm just about to lose faith because nothing is bringing it back up. Not even Mario.Somethings sell better during the Winter season. I think the Wii U is fine, but it definetly needs more heavy hitters. I also think most "hardcore gamers" are working against it, hoping it will destroy it.For core gamers, definitely.
