Act (College test in US)

I found out today I made a 22 on it, which made me happy. I'm not like uber-genius, it was my first time, I opted not to study for it and rely on what I knew, and I was also really sick with a fever the day I took it. All that said I made a 22, which seemed alright. (I'm going to be an accountant so I'm good unless I want funding) Just wondering if anyone had advice or anything, I know it's -way- off topic but this is general discussion and seeing as one of the threads at the moment is underwear or whatever... I figured why not post what I'm semi-happy over :3

I never took it. Florida has a different system called a CPT. I scored a perfect on the English and Comp and a Average on the math.

I remember hearing about the ACT in high school. I live in Jersey, so the SAT is the go-to test for colleges around here, but the ACT was supposedly offered a couple times a year somewhere for those who wanted to try a different test. I don't know a single person who ever took it though. We all just stuck with the SAT cause it was offered more often, and in our district, rather than 2 hours away.

Almost all schools accept the SAT as testing, most take the ACT, but I know Ivy's don't.

Yeah, it counts for all Florida schools, its called the CPT. Its a cheap, quick alternative to the ACT and SAT. there is no pre-reg. You just walk in basically, and if you say the right things its free.

I took it a month ago, haven't gotten my scores back though. But yea, when I originally heard of it I had absolutely no idea of what it was. SATs are still the big thing over here, but it's not like it's completely unheard of.
