ok so this time i thought i would make note of using the thunder as an effective edgeguard. what this technigue basically does is ensure that someone will get hit by the thunder if they are recovering and trying to grab the edge.

its pretty simple actually
1) run and fall off the stage or jump off
2) use your midair jump to get back on the stage and do a thunder in the process so that as the thunder comes down, you land back on the stage.

basically, if you do this, the thunder should just miss the stage so anyone attempting to sweet spot will get hit by it on the way up to the ledge and anyone already on the ledge will get hit by the thunder since the move lasts longer than the invincibility the edge gives you

this can also be done with b sticking (thank you raptor hawk) by jumping off and hitting down and at an angle towards the stage.

Does Anther do this already? I know he has a thunder tech related to the edge but I'm not sure exactly what you are referring too.

the timing isnt bad. it just takes practice. try down bing as soon as you do a retreating second jump

it also works for mindgames cuase if you jump out at someone, they might think you are going to attack them with an ariel or something and then you can hit them with the thunder

For anybody that uses b-stick u can perform this with just one jump since you can wavebounce with thunder.

Hmm, this will be really useful for me since I can't get away from my stick smashes. I already knew about it from melee, but IBFORGETFUL.

You can do it with one jump without the b-stick too, but the b-stick gives you some crazy consistant distance.
