I know I write alot of blogs but its fun for me to express what I'm feeling and all.

Okay so I've been going to offline tournaments now a days and I like it alot better than wifi. I really just want to do offline but they aren't as frequent as going on wifi and getting a match. I hardly even like wifi due to lag and I cant stand almost anymore. And I mean to the point I'm gonna throw my wii out the window but when I go offline I feel more calm, relaxed, and its a heck a lot more fun.

So I have this question do I quit playing online and just practice/go to offline tournaments? I mean I'd love to do that but they're only like once a month for me. Or do I keep playing online and offline? I cant stand the lag and I play way worse online after see-ing myself offline a couple times. I would just play offline but then I dont get to play people as much. So I ask you guys. What do you think I should do in YOUR opinion? Comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I used to play wifi a lot and now I'm going to offline tournaments consistently for a bit, I suggest that you quit wifi. I only played wifi because local competition sucked and i wanted to get better

Hmm Oh. Okay. I only play wifi because I want to get better and its easier in accessibility than driving to a 1hour+ tournament.

Personally hate Wifi. "They" say it's good to learn MU, but I'd rather not play wifi. My suggestion - quit. Try to see if you can find somewhere that meets regularly offline and play. I spent about a year searching Gamefaqs, AiB, and SWF to find Smashfest in my area. It was worth it. Good luck finding what you're looking for :)

If you have the opportunity of going to a tournament then I suggest you should
Okay and theres this tournament in my town and I go to it like everytime. I'm actually pretty lucky since its only a 10-15 minute ride for me but other tournies are long rides since I'm south from the main tournament scene.

Okay and I check out SWF tournaments nearby and the AiB calander. And thanks I still haven't made up my mind fully yet tho, but its learning towards just play offline. I mean wifi is way more common (by that I mean you dont have to wait til a tournament arises or drive there) but its less fun.

I'll suggest maybe finding some friends in the local tournament scene and wifi them, playing against random people you will never meet isnt fun at all and losing to them due to lag is infuriating, I know. I have known many people like you who hate wifi but they almost always change their minds once they start to regularly play against people they actually know. Lag is always a factor but again, from my experiences I've found that playing with people you know in real life makes it much more bearable because you are less likely to complain about it, you both understand the outcomes of matches could change completely due to it and you really shouldnt care.

I have a ton of wifi and tournament experience and I'll honestly say, dont quit wifi. Just find people you know to wifi against. If they hate wifi, maybe they will end up like the people i know, just encourage them to play it with you and you will probably both have much more fun than if no one plays it at all, or especially if you play against random people on the internet.

Okay and yeah it isn't. I think that would be more fun since I actually know them. And we'll even get to play each other IRL so it wont matter.

Okay I wont and also people that live by my tournament scene dont lag with me as much because they're near me so thats a bonus. Okay will do. Thanks DJBrowny. Wow +10 legit points for epic post.

This happens to me too with SSF4 online, I get really mad when I lose to reversal happy people, lag, etc
but for some reason I don't get frustrated with brawl online, even though lag is 10 times worse

My suggestion(if you don't want to get frustrated)
Its hard, but stop caring about your results online, since I mainly play brawl offline, and I am a tournament player, about once or twice a month, I've stopped caring about online, and just play it for match up experience, if you feel confident in your match up knowledge, playing wifi is useless imo

I think people whining about wifi lag when it's just normal like with anyone are bawww'ing. They should be grateful they can actually play.

If you don't like online, don't play it. If you want to get better, play it for MU expierence, but not right before tournaments.
