I would imagine the metagame, would become similar to Japan's since, if I'm not mistaken (and if I am mistaken then I've been hearing misinformation the whole time I have been here), they run a FD only type thing for their tournament and stuff if FD was to become the only thing to be played on competitively here in America.

I've also heard from a few places (and at least one live reaction to the Direct) that Japan is commonly FD only.

I doubt we'll adopt it, but basically there is a precedent to follow if it were to happen.

It's probably why For Glory mode is FD only. I would imagine it was easier to look into the competitive scene of his own culture then a foreign culture.

If this is true, I'd say the Japanese being FD only is a fairly baseless rumor.

Japan was FD major prior to Ken going to Japan during the melee days. Japan didn't know about chain grabs
