a hack for the wii menu?

is there a way to hack the wii and install a file that says:

you can use the gamecube controller to navigate the wii menu?"

this would help so much. That way, tourney wouldn't need a wiimote for some wiis and I wouldn't have to find a sensor bar or something too

As far as i know this isn't possible as the wii sensors is like buletooth or something and it don't even know a gamecube controller is plugged in while its at the wii menu.
