A chandelier was dropped on my head as a kid

But...what did your rabbit do?! I mean, the only reasonable cause for her to 'get rid of it' since you apparently took good care of it was that it died and she didn't want you to be hurt. How long do rabbits live anyway?

When I was about 6 or 7, I remember I was holding a balloon for some reason, and talking to my mom who was nearby. I opened the basement door and had my back to it, and for some stupid reason I stepped backwards without realizing that I was stepping too far back. I ended up falling, and rolling down the flight of stairs backwards and hitting the back of my head on the cement wall at the bottom. I remember my mom freaked out and I wasn't really hurt because I have a hard head.

:D

You know what's funny?

Maternal instincts. They don't really exist.

It's a conspiracy.

My mom completely hates my guts just because I do what I want to do and not what she wants me to do, and I also had a pet rabbit and my mom took it away!

=(

My mother Lana advocates independent thought, but my father Aldo scorns it. The most common excuse he and my former tutor had for trying to change my eccentricities was "it sets you apart". I can conceive of maternal better than paternal instincts.

That's the funniest name I've heard of for a dad ever.

Now why on Earth you decided to tell us their names as if we were super duper curious is beyond me. But thank you, thank you very much.

We got the phone bill today and my mom's bill was like, ~$300 (which is ridiculous).
These were her exact words:
"I never did anything wrong in my life and it's your fault".

Really.

May I point to this-Hey there kids!

So, in short, prove your dad and then your new dad are terrible dads and you'll by default a new mom.

Or you could do like I do and finally snap and cuss her out and distance yourself to the point where you can basically light the wall on fire and not get 'grounded'.

When parents lie, it is to protect you. My parents tell me the truth, and all of it. When my cat was found dead in my dad's closet, I was told the truth. When my dog was stolen, I was told the truth. As I am extremely mature for my age, I feel that I have a right to know everything. Yes, I cried (I love animals, mainly my pets, as much as people. Possibly more. I love them a whole lot more than my outer family.) because I was sad, but I knew the truth.

I suggest confront your mom. Tell her that you are old enough to know the truth, and you hate being lied to. Hopefully she will listen.

I just read your blog. I can really relate to that part when she told you not to leave. When my mother decides I should go to the beach, she is determined I WILL GO TO THE BEATCH. I tell her I have homework to do and that I don't really like going to the beach. Oh no, I AM GOING TO THE BEACH, PERIOD.

Like, 7 years. He was ~2 1/2.
Who knows why the hell shes gotten rid of my pets? Shes given away ALL MY PETS up to this point. After I spend ALL THIS TIME raising/loving them. It's ****ing bull****. There's no excuse for that. And then to have the NERVE to lie about it.. it's sickening.

There is nothing lies protect you from. Emotional trauma is part of growing up. It's not like I'm a wuss and can't handle displeasing emotions.
Not to mention I've never taken any bad news worse then the people around me. I usually take it better then other people. I KNOW I take bad news better then her.
No, my mom lies for different reasons. Selfish ones. She does it to remove the responsibility of her actions from herself. She does it so she'll have less things to worry about. Which is sad, because she has NOTHING to worry about in life compared to normal people. There is no justifiable reason to lie to someone who freaking already knows the truth. I'm not going to forget, even if that's what she's hoping for.

I've asked her to stop lying to me a a million times. It's always after I find out she was lying about something. This NEVER works with most people. The ONLY person I've had this work with is my dad. He's the only person I know with common sense. Only one time did I get mad enough to the point where I yelled and cussed. I NEVER curse around my parents because I think it's really rude. But when I found out she lied about returning my rabbit, I just snapped. "STOP ****ING LYING. TELL THE TRUTH FOR ONCE IN YOUR ****ED LIFE". Then I just went to my room. It's ridiculous. She NEVER listens to ANYTHING I tell her. "Mom, don't touch my stuff". She moves my stuff around and loses things. "Ok, fine. I won't do it next time". Two weeks later, she does it again. My brother and I has been going to Burger King much more then we usually do to collect those little Transformers scratch and win things (Which I won like, 4/5th of). So we put them in his desk and I specifically TOLD her not to touch them. I told her not to even go in a 5 foot permitted AROUND them. So my brother and I plan to go out and get all this free food at once, and shes moved the coupon things. "Mom, where are they?". "I don't know?". In my mind I'm thinking "THEN WHY DID YOU ****ING MOVE THEM". And I have to tell her yet again to Not. Touch. My. Stuff. But no, this still happens. I NEVER misplace things. EVER. SHE misplaces EVERYTHING I lose. It's utterly ridiculous. "Mom, stop blocking my way". "No lolol :3". "-_- *shoves her hand aside* STOP doing that EVERY TIME I'm walking in the living room". "*ignores me*". Goddammit. I'm not 5.

I feel you, man.

My mom's pretty bad too. She'll just be like: You're nothing compared to me, and stuff.

And you're always wrong, right Sasuke?
Of course. I'm a stupid kid. Always was, always will be.
She's been the big adult all her life! Why wouldn't I listen to her?! She knows, right?

Holy crap sasuke, I think there is a good chance your mother has a mental illness. Totally serious here. No sarcasm tags around these sentences.

[sarcasm]Maybe it's because she's Armenian.[/sarcasm]

Now those were sarcasm tags.

Didn't read the other posts. But @ the OP. If that incident didn't happen you would have never obtained your telepathic abilities which allow you to tell if people are lying and change people's caller ID from across the country...

Also I think your mom is that way because she feels bad. For something like that to happen, of course she would be in denial. She just tries to hard for you to love her. Also I'm the same way when it comes to lying. But if you know they are lying that gives you the chance to play mindgames with them. Which can be pretty entertaining.... For example you could of went along with "it ran away" and made it really dramatic that it was all your fault and vowed to find him no matter what and started makinging lost signs and what not. But I don't know if she had you looking for the bird for 5 hours I'm not sure if she would have givin in 0.o. Also what was with the "nice white family" thing? what?

Cool story bro.

I kinda know what you mean, although I don't get lied to, and I don't have any pets that can run away, my parents never tell me about ANYTHING and thus I always have plans screwed up last minute. Then when I freak on them they act like it's coming from no where and I shouldn't be acting up so much, but it happens constantly. That's the real problem, the consistency of the problem, not the problem itself.

It sounds like a lot of us, me included, have some bad problems with our parents. I find something about every parent that just makes me so mad...
I just hate it when parents force their children to do stuff they don't want to do for no apparent reason. I mean, with all the recent pollution problems, is it really worth it to take your child to the beach by force anymore?!

1.) I approve of the conversation between Falcon, SasukeB., and Sasuke B.'s gf.

2.) I have no idea what to say here. I think your mother loves you, she just has major problems in expressing it.

she really does. thanks for trying to point it out, everyone else just seems to think she's crazy. she's really very sweet. I'm not saying giving fuzzy away was cool, but still she does really care about him.

To FinNess: Mmmyep. Masking such a strong demand by pretending to offer a choice really irritates me.

To zen1: No, man. It really is spelled "lying".
