you can't chaingrab with DDD? That takes like...no skill at all. You grab. Hit down. repeat.
Its not about being a douche about it. But if the case is nobody uses them anyways, why not take them off? What difference is it? And maybe add 2 others that Hunger pointed out? I wouldn't go cause there is the chance that I would get CP to one of those dumb stages...

I'll agree on Bridge being a dumb level. Cause you can do Chaingrabbing crap on it.
There's no doubt about that.
But also, I've seen people choose it. And not just do that to each other, they still actually try to fight each other, without gaying each other to all hell.
I can see where you are coming from, don't get me wrong. I just don't think you shouldn't go because of a level, because so far, we've not had any problems with others being complete douchebags to each other. And we've all just had a good time at the tourney.

Great, this tournament is going to start being tainted by guys who pick dumb stages and the turnouts will die...
how would ethan get there? Jr. High students can't drive.
But I am just curious if there is a possibility that someone gay comes around, starts using those stages when NOBODY else does, why not just ban them in the first place?
Don't get me wrong, you can run your tourney the way you want to. I am just curious at this point.

exactly. SOMEONE will. Why wait until then? Why not nip it in the bud NOW? If nobody uses gay stages, why not ban them so people CAN'T use gay stages? Hunger even said he might have shown up had he the stages not been gay. Its just not worth risking the chance of someone being gay about it.

Anyways, it's not really up to us to decide, it's up to the host... And the players on if they're going to just be assbags... but chances are, they're not.
I'll agree on Bridge of Eldin though... that's a terrible stage.
DDD can, not only chaingrab, but also just suck em up & Spit em out on there...

actually hunger was going to come until I told him it was a 5 dollar entree fee and no teams.
plus, no one is going to come and take advantage of the stages because it's a local tournament that the locals enjoy playing. Hunger's disinterest is the same for all the others who are disinterested, which is why no one will come along and pick stupid stages with the added quality of knowing why to pick those stupid stages and being able to accomplish it.

I would come reguardless of stages, I am saying its dumb that some are on and some aren't. But its a 3.5 hour treck from here for a small tourney like that. Otherwise, obviously I would go. I can't stand being away from smashers for more then 2 weeks =P

Actually, Plans have changed, and I may have this saturday open. lol. However, I may just come to watch and then enjoy a chinese buffet with the winner and maybe who ever else wants to come.

i am still tring to work out rules 4 sc4.
about brawl stages...i never could get everyone satisfied! weather its people on here complaining (eventhough they have never been to one of my tournaments, and i just don't don't mean for brawl) or it's the the locals saying they're not enough neutral stages or stages period...i dunno! but, i know it's sure is annoying as ****..lmao.
i think im just about ready to say the hell with it, neutral stages ONLY!

Also extremely interested in trying out for the Soul Cal 4, specially since I been playing it nonstop since I got it.
Quick question though: Which console is it going to be on >_> I got mine on the lamebox, so I wouldn't be able to bring over my own controller.

It all depends on Webster, we could have a 360 version available only if both opponents agreed to play on it. of course that would require an additional setup and someones 360.
I do believe that all unlockable characters (sorry Shura fans) will be banned as well as console specific characters, much like they were for the 3rd gen systems (Link, Spawn, and Heihachi all banned on their respective console)

okay u guys...i swear to the heavens, the rules will be posted for the sc4 tournament by later on tonight.
and trust me...with the stuff i learned...the rules needed to be looked at carefully.
i could tell u right now that the ONLY two characters banned from the sc4 tournament is Darth Vader (not available on both consoles) and Algoi (teleport...need i say more).
The bonus characters and The Apprentince are available on both consoles. so people have had more than enough time to learn how to play vs these characters. so NO reason to ban them.

And shame on you for banning my new main. It's a common misconception that Algol is overpowered and cheap. Most people scream BOSS and ban him for that reason, when in reality he really isn't stupidly overpowered like some characters. In fact, scaled to most of the characters, he's on the lower side of the power spectrum. There are much more broken characters (Cough Sophi cough).
Other than that, I GUESS I could go Lamefried and Sets the whole time, but that's disappointing.
