Hey Georgia, I was just wondering, how many people would come if I had a tournament on the 15th (of september) at my house?

The 15th is my birthday, and I usually don't do anything for it, so I was just thinking.

Yeah, so fairly short notice on this nonsense, but I guess I could have a tournament on the 15th.
If not enough people show up, I guess it turns into a smashfest/birthday thing.
If no one shows up, well dammit. another birthday where i don't do anything.

Uhh I'll post rules info as it gets closer, but it's pretty standard stuff.

Basic rules go.
4 stock, 8 minute time limit.

No pausing for advantages. Unless someone is cheating and you think you can win anyway. Let's say Shai Hulud is wobbling you off a building. Then it's okay to pause if you don't want to end the match because you think you can still win. Pausing if like someone calls you or something is up or you have to go tinkle-pee is fine.


Pools will not happen, unless like 100 people show up, in which case I don't think my house is big enough for that. - Actually right now we have a total of like 25 people that could possibly come.

Brackets will be done by tio, and if i don't want certain people to play each other then I'll manipulate them. Yes, i am a jerk.

Dave's stupid rule. - No counterpicking stages in a set that you've won on.

Team attack on in teams...

The above mentioned **** is banned, except the characters; it's a joke guys.
All the other stuff is banned too, including ylink stall on corneria, and other stupid stuff.
ledgestalling for more than like 30 seconds = DQ sons.

All Bowser mains must get permission from KevinM to play Bowser as your main at this event. All Jigglypuffs must get permission from Darc.

If a matchup is epic enough, We will unban a banned stage for a set if both parties agree.

Players can choose to mutual ban 1 stage as well as regular ban 1 stage. Mutual ban must be mutual, guys. not like "Hey, i wanna mutual ban this stage." "Uh, Sure.." YOU BOTH GOTTA NOT WANT IT

It seems like the general consensus is that teams should be starting around 3-3:30 pm, and singles afterwards. We'll be having like a low tier tournament or another game tournament while we wait.
I'm thinking... A Halo 2v2 tournament (halo 1 or 2, whatevss good) if anyone wants to bring an Xbox or something. Otherwise I have a 360 and a regular xbox, we could just play 2v2 splitscreen, all we'd need is a disk. Low Tier Tournament is prolly the way we're going to go if people wanna play smash.

Entrance fee for singles will be $5
Entrance fee for doubles will be $10 - $5 per sexy. Person.
Door fee will be like, $1. I don't know, I don't like door fees. I don't like charging for door fees. We'll see.

Venue Info
I have two regular TVs - one 52 inch in the basement, which most of the people who came to my house for my smashfests played on, and one smaller flatscreen TV. Also have a monitor I can convert to TV usage.
I have a Wii and a Gamecube. I have cables for two gamecubes, though. I also have a dreamcast, a ps2 (modded) an Xbox, and an Xbox 360, if anyone wants to game on those, I guess. I have two wii motes (PB&J has a wiimote of mine and owes me $20, actually), one DC controller, a million ps2 controllers + a multitap, and two 360 controllers. I have a SNES, an N64, and a genesis somewhere.
1 copy of smash + card.

So that's
5 TVs (3 venue, 1 Prac, 1 somasu)
a buncha game stuff.
6 smash machines (2 venue, 1 prac, 1 reflex, 1 somasu, 1 battousai)
enough smash discs - HEY GUYS my version of smash is 1.0, so if you don't like not being able to DI out of rapid hits as well (getting zelda fsmash gimpage, etc.) or getting flame-canceled or shadow glitched, please bring a 1.2
