775 Reno,NV players here?

Hey guys well check this out, if you play and want to find where tournies happen in the 775 it's at the gamecrazy on McCarran BLVD west, and it's right next to the Alberson's. Thats the only good play around, on Saturdays starting at 4pm

it sure is but the searchbox is still in the same place
you could just as easily type reno as vegas
change the time to say....3 or 6 months
and do a little filtering

btw is it true that competitive smash up there is all melee? I've talked with a few friends of mine that go to UNR and they say all the tournaments are melee.

Well yeah thats exactly it, it's all Melee, and there are a few really prominant newcomers, me being one of them. We joined not that long ago.

No, we actually do very little melee given that definition. The only time we have free for all is for the UNR dorms tournaments and that only to save on time.

Out of curiousity, how many people generally come?

saturdays range from 12-35 and the UNR tournys usually see 50+ but the competition is lacking at UNR tournys

dude melee tournaments and 1v1 tournaments are 2 different beasts
but I didn't come here to preach

anyone know tudor? he's a beastly samus and claims to be the best samus in reno

yea we know him, and he his easily the best samus in reno.... but thats not hard to be because no one else uses samus here

Out of curiosity, who do you guys think is your best player? In Reno I've played hitori, Tudor, Juan, and Roy. Is there anyone there better than them? And Tudor = Nolan, correct?

we do tournaments every weekend... that's about as big as it gets except the UNR tournys which are FFA and happen once a semester

there are at least 6 of us from reno going to the tourney tudor mentioned above (it's stickied at the top of the forum) and we're meeting tudor down there.

if anyone else in reno likes to smash, call me and and lets get smashing! I smash it up w/ CBK every once in a while, but this week it's full steam 6-8 hours a day in tourney prep.
