7 Days left, and there still isn't a valid "leak"

I'm extremely surprised at how well Nintendo has kept this secret! They are either paying off all the potential "leakers" or paying the mafia to take them out (just kidding, Nintendo would never be affiliated with the mafia).

Anyways, all of the so called leaks are so easily recognizeable as fanboy made, that it'll be plain obvious when we actually see the real deal. I mean the real thing will either be an official announcement from Nintendo, or actual press coverage of the game. Either that or a Japanese gamer who puts up a high quality video of atleast 5 minutes of play. So pictures are crap, all images can be edited to look official. Video its much harder to make it look real.

So I guess all we can do is just wait 6 more days, and try not to give the fakes any more attention then they already have.

Maybe there is a real leak, and maybe it's one of those random forum members from GameFAQs, or GameSpot or something :p

Or maybe Nintendo were smart and really didn't let it leak this time.

Ridley, K. Rool, Krystal.....its so up in the air right now. The chars, whatever stages are unknown....could he only be showing STARTING STAGES ALSO? And what about the plot? There are videos out, but previews and the Famitsu review havent even MENTIONED the plot of the game.

There is absolutley nothing known outside of whats on the dojo, with the exception of Lucario, Ness, and Jigglypuff.

Lucario, Ness, Jigglypuff, and earlier on Donkey Kong and Sonic have been THE ONLY DETAILS revealed before the Dojo did. AND EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS REVEALED BY NINTENDO, NOT A LEAKER.

It's almost amazing. 700 people working at one point, with a core group of 100. How could that many people have not said anything to anybody about the roster, stages, plot, amount of 3rd parties, etc.

May 9th cannot come soon enough.

The some of the character select screenshots out there look pretty real to me. But that doesn't really tell us anything we didn't already know since all the characters on there are already announced. Kudos to the Brawl team on keeping this one locked down tight.

GAMER8!!! you must be the gamer from yoshilore forums. i thought it was a coincidence that the sig here had the power rangers thing, but then i saw the sonic thing too... :) hi oh im Yoshi Kirishima.

Im glad they've not leaked the roster, because this time i REALLY want characters to be a surprise. I mean, if all the characters get spoiled... well, i'll have to wait like, 6 more YEARS until the next smash bros. I mean, it just would seem to be so fun if you are surprsised by a character... for example it could be like, you just see a character you absolutely don't know about, or it could be something like... OMG ITS MEGAMAN WTF?!. hopefully they'll have at LEAST 5 secret characters. 10 would be a good number, 5 from Melee (probably capt falcon, jigglypuff, ness, mr. game and watch, mewtwo, may be younglink and/or falco. oh and marth too) and 5 new ones.

i probably will fail to keep ANY char i dont know about to be a surprise, March 9th is so long away :(

While reading 'Iwata Asks', sakurai said something about the 100 people (the main people) working on Brawl, and he said something like they got along fine, so they're probably friendly to eachother and therefore won't 'betray' eachother by leaking.

I don't understand.
Knowing which characters in the game would be a good thing to leak, so the customer can know what the hell they're paying 6,800 yen/$50 for. I mean they could leak it and be "Don't click here unless you want to know who's in the game", but honestly. What's the big deal about leaking secret characters?

Whatever. Dedede, Diddy, Sheik, and Sonic are in the game. I'm satisfied.

99% of people will never see anything about brawl, except pictures or videos and words. Until someone owns the game, there will always be reasonable doubt, so if something was a real leak, people will just refer to the doubt.

What is in or isn't in brawl, is just a debate. People state their opinions as words or "leaks". There is always going to be reasonable doubt whether a leak or opinion is valid or invalid, and that is fine, it is your opinion. Keep in mind without experience, there is always doubt.

this is crunch time. people are getting really nervous about their characters and the lack of knowledge given to at this time. you can see here on teh boards people are preparing for the worst with all teh "we hate sakurai" and "the ultamite dissapointment" threads in the last few weeks. not only when everythign is out will this community breathe one huge sigh of relief, but i believe we will be extremely satisfied with the final outcome.

Personally I would really like to know the complete roster before I get the game. Now would be great so I can stop wondering. But it really appears that we may have to wait until after the JP release to find out.

Nintendo probably learned their lesson with Mario Galaxy which the full game was downloadable online weeks before release. They are probably taking good caution now so the same thing doesn't happen.

Well, we haven't been able to get our hands on a full roster leake (that was credible), but we did get the controversial Jigglypuff, Lucario, and Ness leak. As far as I'm concerned, I can wait a week.

Of course Nintendo wouldn't affiliate with the mafia, they use the Yakuza.

among the figments of your imagination
We haven't gotten any full roster leak that everyone agrees on, and until next Thursday, we never will. What we have gotten are small bits of information (true information) eg: Lucario Ness and Jpuff. although we do not have a legitimate full roster leak, we do have legitimate partial roster leaks eg: ChaosZero (enough of his revealed info has been proven true to give him credibility). For all we know, one of those BS 'Prophets' may have a legitimate leak and we don't know it, it happened in SSBM, and it could happen for SSBB.

I was originaly going to try to not look at the info from the japanese version of braw until the american one came out but when they delayed it again i decided to learn the charecters and secrets.

that was kind of random i know but i wantd to say it. anyway it is really suprising that nothing but what nintedo has said about the game has leaked. its going to be a great game

'... What the frick are you doing on SWF?'

lol. ya i see what you mean. its simply because i cant help myself. the game's been delayed too long. if it came out on feb 10th i could prob hold it, but march 9th is just way too long. but at least all the characters on the Dojo are starters anyways:)

now with 23 starter chars, here's waht i think...

smash bros 64 had 8 starters, 4 new. 8*50%=4.
melee - 12(or somehwere like that) starters, 13 (or somewere like that) new. 12*about 100%=13.

so im thinking between 50% and 100%, i say 75%. so 75%* starters in brawl will equal about the amount of unlockable characters. so its about 23+18=41, which is a good number:)

at first when sakurai said that the DOJO wouldnt be showing any secret chars, i only thought of secret chars as in ganondorf/pichu, etc. in melee, which had no "? box". but im guessing that Brawl doesnt have those "? boxes" so unlockable chars=secret chars. or may be unlockables will be shown in Challenge Mode, while secrets aren't... anyways...

Well, I believe we have it, though I'm constantly looking for things to disprove it because I HATE it. But yeah, I'm just surprised that we haven't seen undeniable evidence of anything. No leaked final roster pictures this close to relase? No gameplay of a character that has yet to be revealed. Not to mention these possible fake leaks, and this video poster that is likely fake. It's really frustrating.

Because it was proven false on all levels of it
But yeah Nintendo's really pulled a Rare and keeping Brawl under secrecy.
When was it proven wrong? Just because you don't want something to be true doesn't make it not true.

Think about it, when Melee was coming out somebody leaked the real roster and nobody believed him/her so they stayed waiting thinking the same thing you are now.

It's possible the roster has already been revealed and people are not taking much notice(I hope not though because the rosters "leaked" so far aren't very good ones.

As I recall, the Melee Roster was leaked two days before the release of Melee.

Even if it were released today, the full Brawl roster would be three days ahead of schedual compared to Melee.
