Alright you buncha haters. Officially played my first smash game online on my macbook pro. It is VERY possible to play ssb online with a mac. I swear putting windows on my mac was one of the hardest decisions i've had to make.

So mac users: Yes you can play SSB64 online. Until someone makes a good netplay option for an emulator for macs your best bet is to use Bootcamp. There are plenty of guides around that will tell you how to.
Any way to run Bootcamp with Windows for free?

Boot Camp is free, Windows is not. If you happened to have an unused Windows disc around you may be able to use that. There may be a way to legally get it for free though. I'd do some searching on Google.

Also, I have a MacBook Pro, had to get a laptop for college, my parents didn't want me gaming 24/7. All I really cared about was WoW, and I figured I could bootcamp if I needed to. The thing is, my book goes to pretty much every class to me, but I can still come home and play some TF2/WC3/WoW/CS if I want. Yeah, it's through a DX9 emulator, and runs a little worse, but it's far from unplayable. So yeah, Macs < PC for gaming/overall flexibility, but I love my computer, as far as Aesthetics and overall "flow" go, OSX wins in my book.

Having said that, I'm building a windows machine as soon as I have enough money to throw around, but I'll most likely make it a Hackintosh and get the best of both worlds.

OT, I really wish I could play 64 without BootCamp. Tried bootcamping last year and had relentless driver issues and just gave up, repartitioned. Oh well. Trying again soon.

Did you put in the OS cd? It installed all the drivers i need, but i don't use windows extensively so i doubt i'll run into any errors. I haven't tried parallels, you could always attempt it or search for someone who has.

Cheeseball, have you read this thread yet? There are probably less than 10 relevant posts.
