428〜封鎖された渋谷で〜 is a Visual Novel by Chunsoft and published by SEGA.

From what I can tell, Visual Novels that aren't Phoenix Wright aren't too popular around here, but this one is different.

428 is entirely in live action(with the exception of the extra scenario), and has multiple main characters, each of them with their own perspective of the story. The whole thing is kinda hard to explain, but think of it as something like 24 or the like, but more interactive, and different endings.

I normally wouldn't be so interested in the game, however, Famitsu, one of the most respected and largest Gaming Magazines in Japan, gave this game a perfect 40/40. That's right, Famitsu apparently thinks this game is as good as OoT, Wind Waker, MGS4, and Brawl, and is BETTER than GTA4, Okami, and Phantom Hourglass.

This must be one KICKASS visual novel then.

Chances of it coming to the west are shaky. VNs have seen a wave of popularity with Phoenix Wright, Hotel Dusk, and Trace Memory, but the whole live action thing might hurt it.

Recently Famitsu rating system has become less reliable, but a perfect score is still hard to get by these guys. This game must be good.

Phantom Hourglass.
Wait, Famitsu gave PH a good score, much less a perfect score? I thought they knew what they were talking about for a while there too!

Anyway, the game looks pretty cool... but I'm not so sure about it. As much as I love the writing in Phoenix Wright games the gameplay has always been flawed (ex: presenting evidence saying the character held a gun in their left hand, while the character just said he used his right hand). That and live-action in video games has never gone over well.

Of course, I don't have it ruled out yet. I'll wait to see a review from somebody who obviously didn't force themselves to like a mediocre game.

...This. Exactly the thought that occurred to me.

Wait...I know which part you're referring to, but what exactly are you referring to? Isn't the issue at hand that
Edgeworth's prints are from his right hand but he's left-handed or something like that
?

That said, I'm enamored with Phoenix Wright so I'll definitely consider this one. But I'll obviously have to wait for more information than just that.

I believe so. It was during the DL6 case.

EDIT: Darkslash remembered.

No.
The picture shows the shooter(Yani) firing with his left hand. Edgeworth's prints were from his right hand, becuase he picked up the gun.
Yes I memorized it, that piece was so unforgettable, like the BULLET!

Oh yeah, duh, how could I forget that? I just played that trial too. Oh well, I intend to replay the entire game once I beat Rise From the Ashes and finally get to Justice For All. Unless I get Trials & Tribulations and/or Apollo Justice before I finish Justice For All, in which case I'll play those first.

I remembered the photo and the fact that Edgey picked up the gun and that's why his prints were on it, I just forgot the contradiction there.
