Smash Ace
Hehe, i find it funny that heaps of people who can waveshine and all that still cant time a shortened >B...Probably because it isnt all that useful...
BUT WAIT!!
Theres another length?? OMFGWTFBBQ?!?!?!
Yep.
Ok.
(Note: i have no access to frame data, frame differences are estimates. If they're wrong, tell me, but you don't have to flame me.)
1st one: Full length. No explanation needed.
2nd one: Short length. Press B again about a few frames after the "whooosh" sound happens, which is when fox starts moving. This does no damage.
3RD ONE: Half Length. Perform a short length, except press b a few MORE frames after the "whoosh" and fox starts moving. If it helps, it probably feels more like hitting it right on the whoosh than a few frames afterwards. If done correctly, fox will go about half of the length of a normal one, and still do the same amount of damage!! Depending on which frame you press B on, there is a small amount of distances it can range between. Apparently there are 6 total distances.
Uses:
Recovery: If an opponent gets used to moving back a certain distance to f smash you, etc. This will throw them off. If they think that you are going to use a short length over B, this will damage them, and likely interrupt a laggy attack they might be charging.
Saving yourself: Oh no! I didnt mean to use over B while i was waveshining!! Now i'm gonna go off the edge! Wait! i can use a short length over B! But wait, then my opponent (who happens to be at high damage and in front of me) Will attack me in the lag!! Oh, i know!! I will use a half length one which i read about in this post from this awesome guy so that it does damage to knock my opponent away and saves me!
There's more, I just cant think of them right now.
I honestly want to know if anyone at all knew about this, because it seems people are very uneducated when it comes to fox's over B.
EDIT: Yep, you all proved you're all smart little foxes/falcos. The thing is, i reckon most people who didn't know about this will either (most likely) not post, or (less likely) pretend they did.
I never said i discovered this. I never said it was new. I JUST WANTED TO KNOW who knew about this.
Geez...every time i do something on SWF I start to hate it a little bit more. Just little things, like someone saying "what a waste of a thread". Oh, im so sorry. Did i waste precious online resources? Did i make you open this? Did i forget to recycle my previous "wasted" threads? Didn't your mother tell you if you have nothing nice to say, not to say anything at all??
Ah well...im too tired to rant...
