1. The original concept of Smash was that it was a child playing with figures. As boys, we often played with dolls, and imagine them fighting to no end.

This original theme faded from dolls to imagining trophies coming to life. Perhaps a teenager here, the boy has moved on to the more mature figures, though they aren't as flexible as the boy might as like. His hand is not the master anymore, but rather his imagination, which spawns Gigabowser.

What about Brawl? Its story is much larger, and seems at time non-consistent, and how is the man who defeated Master Hand? The man goes by the name Tabuu. Tabuu, as in the boy is now a man, and is viewed foolish and childish for still playing with his toys. The man destroys his hand, making him master of his own domain. Yet, the man's imagination runs wild inside, despite his attempts to stop his playing with dolls. Final, his imagination overcomes the Tabuu, and the man is free to play with action figures, and not feel ashamed.

Oh, and that's not the really stupid one

2. Games will sell less and less if the market is not expanded because gamers will marry gamers, and so when 2 games would have been bought, one game is bought instead, or one system. I also strongly suspect the strongest nit fanboys and fangirls such as Nintendo fans marry more often than others.

But that sounds so silly, though I think it does happen at times.
Though, I think Nintendo manages just fine, because then I can get Diamond, while my wife gets Pearl.

Well, the second one was a bit etrange, but the first made quite a lot of sense.

I like that you analyzed each game in the series and saw how they related to the life of a human.
Never actually noticed that, I didn't.

Maybe the Smash series does represent such, as Nintendo tends to make things which represent different aspects of life. They like to do that, don't they?

Basically every game Nintendo makes is taken from something they enjoy doing, and bringing an aspect of it to video games.

Zelda- Exploring
Pikmen- Gardening
Mario- Drugs

Don't forget Pokemon, as it originated from Satoshi Tajiri's favourite childhood hobby of bug catching.

Also, EarthBound sort-of represents a child's wild imagination.

Actually, while I do think your first theory makes sense to some degree, I feel the need to point out something:

Trophies are called Figures in Japan. But why? Well, it's sort of a parody of the Japanese themselves. There are MANY people who collect Figures, which are highly detailed statuetes. Seeing as how you start to collect Figures, it could be that Melee was the child's first step to becoming an otaku. Brawl then completed the cycle, with him imagining large adventures inspired by these Figures, but leaving out the ones he don't like(Pichu, Mewtwo, Dr Mario).
