Colors are one of the greatest things God has put on this world for us. It makes life so much more "colorful" and exciting. Just turning around and glancing at a traffic light just fills my heart with joy.

Can you imagine a colorless world? Would we even live life believing there was something missing? Or would life be the same with black, white, and grey?

This book would be a great example. If you haven't, I recommend reading it.

Colors makes it so much easier to be unique. Combining colors to make a glamorous and glorious theme that fits you. And the power of being able to mix two colors together to make another. How awesome is that? We take these things for granted.

How do animals enjoy natural beauty when they are color-blind?

Why go out and wear a white shirt when you can wear yellow or red?
Why have a yellow username when you can have blue or pink?
Why date a white man when you can date a black one? I have.

What bothers me is when people say pink is a "girl color". I never understood why or where that even came from. Why should one limit the clothing they can buy by its color? Color is color. I have seen boys refuse buying a phone or handheld video game that they only had in pink. It is quite silly, but I guess that shows us all the power of pink.

Colors can also represent many things, such as country flags or roses.

Colors are the essence of beauty and magic. What we see can change our perspective on a great number of things.

Heh, the giver was one of the better books that I was forced to read in school. I remember how they were trying to imply that because Jonas could see color, that he was able to easily perceive people's emotions and feelings more so than the average townsperson.
Black men are ill.

Well, that was an interesting read.

Funny thing about the color pink and men though, as my friend put it: "The reason why guys don't buy pink stuff is because it's a *******ization of the color red."

I remember reading it my freshman year. I didn't really like it, nor did I understand half of it.

I recently reread it and actually understood stuff.
Like the "stirrings" and the pills they took to stop that. I realized then that it was a town full of sexually repressed adults and a world without color.
I laughed at that because I like to be immature, but at the same time it made me sad. Color is a wonderful thing to have.

There are more colours. You would have to obtain eyes that are able to see more than our current spectrum of colour, but it is possible (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_vision#In_other_animals). There's a species of shrimp that is able to see more colours than we are able to called the Mantis Shrimp (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stomatopod). Whilst our vision is trichromatic, consisting of 3 main colours (Red, Blue, Green), Mantis Shrimp have hyperspectral colour vision, consisting of 12 main colours.

I am sure I remember watching a news piece about research on these critters to help in cancer detection, although the finer details are beyond me.
