I’ve always felt like they should make a “Mario & Sonic Racing” game on switch to sort of tie us over before Mario Kart 9 which would get released on the next console. For a while now I’ve felt like a mario and sonic kart racing game could be amazing, and I think the confusing situation with mario kart 9 would be a good chance to release it.

Sonic R isn't really a true footracer - more just a bad kart game where the characters are animated running. What I'm envisioning is more like Rayman M - which I consider a good game that didn't fully live up to its potential.
I mean, Nintendo have never really been ones to stick to patterns.
