My issue was the complete and obvious lack of effort put into the game by a studio with as much money as GameFreak.
Look up Pokémon Battle Revolution on Wii. I don't think it's too much to ask that a console Pokémon game have better graphics than a game a decade prior on a weaker console.

People only trivialize the tree to try to ignore the fact it looks like it comes from a game system 20 years ago from a cheap game company when it's the opposite; it's a tree in a the newest generation console made by a multi billion dollar company and it looks terrible just like the rest of the game.

Honestly, GameFreak has been slowly going lazy since Gen 6. Having "Battle Frontier Under Construction" in ORAS and saying that it wasn't worth the effort because kids won't get that far was completely unacceptable.
They literally said that they made the games easier because kids are used to the instant gratification of mobile games.
