Take it from an accused perfectionist-- trying to be perfect will set you up for disappointment if you are expecting it. However, it should not be a reason for despair. Rather, let it be a reminder that you are under no condemnation when you seek to emulate what is good... There is much to be said on this, but that is another discussion.

The people who are good at Smash are good because they put in a lot of work improving and learning from their mistakes. They did not become good at the game overnight they had to be persistent.

They are not perfect tho. You will never play a game in smash where you make no mistakes. You can only hope to make less mistakes than your opponent.
