It has like, ten times the amount of unfairness and weird controls as the Adventure games have, but I think the moments that aren’t so bull**** are some of the best in the series

I don't know; I personally think some of the later levels have trash design and rely heavily on bottomless pits and enemies with massive health bars to act as "challenge". That, and having to replay the same stages with minimal differences four times to unlock the true ending was overkill.

I usually end up replaying Sonic games way more than four times, so I see it as a non-issue.
