I agree with you there, I don’t get the demand either

Voices by good voice actors add more personality like Coromon and Yo-Kai Watch.

If you don't like the voices and prefer to imagine them, modern video games can have a feature of an off switch for the voice audio.

I feel like if they added full voice acting to the game they would probably then make the game shorter and have less content to the point that it makes fans who wanted voice acting mad. Yakuza 6 is an example of a game that was severely downsized partly because they made all of the side quests fully voice acted and I imagine if that happened to pokemon fans wouldn’t be very happy about it

Yo-Kai Watch 3 has full voice acting for all 752 monsters without cutting content between like a total of 5 talented actors. You really just need like one or two lines per monster and a handful of short phrases for humans. Not that much on budget or time constraints especially since you can reuse the voice lines for the monsters across games. Been keeping a list of talented voice actors for my own project.

I feel voice acting is largely unnecessary. It's cool to have, and for a spin-off like Masters it's very much appreciated, but the main games function fine without them, and I don't see much of a need for it as a whole.

Then ask to use an off switch for voice audio so you don't have to listen to it or don't need it.

Definitely gonna write down that note for my own games now that you bring it up.
