I'd recommend just trying to make more causal conversations. Baby steps. Build up an online friendship best you can, when the time comes drop that you live in the same place and work up from there. You don't want to rush things, especially if you have feelings for them. The more time you spend the closer you'll get, hopefully anyways, and you definitely want to get to know them more before rushing things. I'm sorry if that sounds insensitive to you, I don't know every detail about how well you know them, but that's the best I can offer.

I really can't give much advice when it comes to relationships, but as someone who's had similar struggles with autism, I think Linkmain put it best - Your feelings matter, and being proud of who you are is the first step in doing... anything, really. And again, I'm far from an authority on romance, but Pokelego seems to have the right idea. No matter what you end up doing, I wish you the best.
