I completely agree with the statement you made earlier about Mario Kart Crossroads. The Mario universe has so many unique characters to choose from, and it's genuinely sad that they'd waste that just for a "crossover go brrrr" moment

This. Once the "haha ridley on a tiny bike" novelty wears off (likely before launch - if not official reveal) all people will really be thinking if this happens is "Jesus... we really are never getting Boom Boom/Goomba/Ashley/Geno/Fawful/Vivian/Timber/Poochy, are we?"

I honestly think Goomba would have been such a good choice, specifically a Goomba tower. Like, there's one at the bottom working the pedals, one in the middle steering, and one at the top that tosses items. It'd be funny and kinda adorable
